OAKS at WIMBLEDON
It’s Sky Sports 3 tonight for the William Hill Oaks from a damp Wimbledon. Droopys Loner looks the dog to beat with scintillating early pace, a great draw and dogs beside her that run middle which should pave the way for her.
She is 6 from 9 from TRAP 1 and was a Derby semi-finalist. She ran in this race last year but that was from trap 4, she was an 8 chance and was beaten. Since then she has been mixing it with the best and will be hard to beat in the festive red jacket.
I’m going to have my bet in the 8.15 and TRAP 1 Forest Dot to win the consolation Oaks.
She has a cracking draw and looks certain to have a clear round. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a tough race that should be decided at the first corner and a reproduction of her 28.68 in the 1st quarter final of the Oaks should get us a few quid for Xmas.
Of the others the slow starting TRAP 2 Westmead Diva is only 2 from 21 away from Henlow. TRAP 3 Cavan Dancer ran against our selection the other night and there’s not much between them, TRAP 1 beat her 3/4 of a length and she should confirm that, even though she went off a bigger price that night.
TRAP 4 Sherrys Rebound is all about early, and the middle to wide runner looks sure to hit trouble and hasn’t been doing it on the clock. TRAP 5 Jaytee Cuba is a huge runner and is also mid to wide so there is no margin for error and she is 0 from 3 at Wimbledon.
TRAP 6 Ballintine Molly is one dog I don’t fancy – dropping back in trip I think she will get done for early speed and will find it hard to avoid trouble.
