TUESDAY FOOTBALL: A busy night of football ahead. We look ahead to the EFL Cup game between Burton and Liverpool and the Champions League second leg play-off matches featuring Celtic and Dundalk.
Burton v Liverpool
7.45pm Liverpool visit Burton tonight at 7-45 in the League Cup live on Sky Sports 1, looking to bounce back from their shock 2-0 defeat against Burnley the weekend. Burnley finished that game with the lowest possession stats of any winning Premier League team for years – which leaves one wondering, what where Liverpool doing with the ball in terms of cutting edge attacking? They will certainly want to bounce back quickly here and can Klopp risk playing the second XI?
We’ll obviously have to wait for the teams before investing too much, but it’s still worth looking around for value now. Thus far this season, both sides games have been packed with goals. Burton’s five games have seen 23 goals, Liverpool’s opener with Arsenal finished 4-3 – this obviously points to over’s tonight but it’s only trading 1.61 at the moment which seems a shade short – if it drifted to 1.7 or bigger later then it could be of interest. We feel that Burton can find the net here though and Both Teams To Score is currently trading 1.99 which looks good value and we’re happy with that as our best bet.

Hapoel Beer Sheva v Celtic
7.45pm A tricky game to weigh up here before seeing the teams as Celtic lead 5-2 from the first leg, so Brendan Rogers could take the opportunity to give a few of the fringe players a chance. However, would he rest that many that Hapoel should be favourite? They’re currently trading around the 2.4 mark with Celtic at 3.15 – if the first leg is anything to go by that Celtic price does look to be on the large side, but obviously you’d want to see the team sheet before investing.
An argument for Hapoel is that they have a good record at home in Europe, unbeaten in four with two wins and two draws, and they also have a superb record at home in their domestic league – hence the reason for being favourites here. However the way Celtic pushed on after conceding in Celtic Park would suggest that they should have too much class here, and they do make a lot of appeal in the draw-no-bet market at 2.3. Our best bet here though is over 2.5 goals at 1.8 – we’re bound to have an open game here with Hapoel chasing the game being so far behind, and we should see plenty of action as we did in the first leg, and 1.8 looks on the large side.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.8.

Legia Warsaw v Dundalk
7.45pm The first leg probably proved that Legia Warsaw are a level above Dundalk and it’s hard to see anything but a Legia Warsaw win here, however at around 1.46 in the 90 minutes market and with them 2-0 ahead from the first leg, it might pay to look around the other markets for a shade of value. Under 2.5 goals might be a good place to start, it’s currently trading around the 2.0 mark and Legia Warsaw are on a run of four straight clean sheets in Champions League qualifying, indeed they have only conceded one goal in all their games thus far. Obviously Dundalk will have to press on a bit being 2-0 behind, which could leave gaps at the back for Legia Warsaw, so we feel that a Legia Warsaw clean sheet is marginally better value at around 2.1 than under 2.5 goals at 2.0.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Legia Warsaw clean clean at 2.1.
