UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Saturday’s three UEFA Nations League games between NORTHERN IRELAND v BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA, SWITZERLAND v ICELAND and ENGLAND v SPAIN all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
NORTHERN IRELAND V BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA
2pm We have a full day of UEFA Nations League action on Saturday and we start with Northern Ireland hosting Bosnia Herzegovina. Northern Ireland performed very well in a World Cup Qualifying group with Germany and you’d have to expect them to again battle hard and be tough to beat.
We have a very open market with the visitors favourites at the moment, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Northern Ireland 3.15, Bosnia Herzegovina 2.76 and the draw is 3.0. Northern Ireland won four of their five home games in their last qualifying campaign and we simply have to lay Bosnia Herzegovina here at the odds – they could only finish third in their last qualifying campaign and finished behind Greece. We expect Northern Ireland to be very tough to beat here and you could argue that they should be favourites.

SWITZERLAND V ICELAND
5pm Iceland have been the favourites of many neutrals for a while now however you’d have to say that they were disappointing at the World Cup. For a Nation of their size, it was incredible what they achieved at Euro 2016 however these things tend not to last. Switzerland were very solid at the World Cup and with home advantage here they obviously have a huge chance of winning.
Switzerland are odds on favourites, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Switzerland 1.76, Iceland 6.0 and the draw is 3.65. Iceland managed to hold Argentina to a good draw at the World Cup however as we saw later that form didn’t stack up – they then lost 2-0 to Nigeria while Switzerland held Brazil to a 1-1 draw but ultimately came up short against Sweden. We feel that Iceland’s level is going down while Switzerland are pretty solid and on balance, we’re happy to back Switzerland at the odds with home advantage.

ENGLAND V SPAIN
7.45pm This will be the highlight of the weekend for many and what an excellent tie for a Saturday night! Spirits are sky high behind the England team after a brilliant World Cup run however you’d have to say that they did have a very easy run to the semi final. Spain are an aging side though and crashed out on penalties against Russia in their first knockout game. The only managed one win in their four World Cup games and it will be very interesting to see how they get on against this England side.
We have a very open market with the match odds at the time of writing; England 3.0, Spain 2.74 and the draw is 3.25. As you would expect, this game will be very close and the market prices reflect that. However, looking at Spain’s recent games and the spirit in the camp with this England side, we feel that the value is with the Spain lay at 2.76. Spain are in a transition period and England are very tough to beat at Wembley – we definitely see the odds as being the wrong way around here and we’re happy to lay Spain.
