We start the week on Monday as Scotland take afternoon honours in group D at Euro 2020 as they face Czech Republic on BBC at 14:00, with Poland playing Slovakia at 17.00 before Spain and Sweden feature in the evening game.
Tuesday kicks off ITV’s coverage of Royal Ascot and the meeting is a real treat for racing fans with the best in the equine world on display throughout the week until Saturday. All seven daily races from the royal meeting can be seen live on ITV. Hungary and Portugal are also in action in the afternoon alongside France and Germany, which is set to be a thriller.
Wednesday has the customary three games from the European Championship on offer alongside Leicestershire and Warwickshire in the T20 Blast. Heading into Thursday there is no respite to the action as along with three games from the Euros, Durham and Lancashire are also set to battle it out in the Blast, and finally the US Open gets underway. The third golf major of the year will be live on Sky Sports daily until the final day’s play on Sunday, which is always set up for a thrilling finish.
Friday sees the ICC Test Championship Final begin between India and New Zealand, while West Indies and South Africa also begin their next Test in the series. England are in action at Euro 2020 with their long-awaited fixture against Scotland. The game can be seen on ITV at 20:00, and will be one full of drama for Southgate and his men.
Along with three games from the Euros, the two Test matches, the US Open, and action from the Blast, there is also the final day’s coverage from Royal Ascot, which will be one not to be missed. It is truly a superb Saturday.
The action doesn’t let up on Sunday either, with the French Grand Prix getting things underway in the early afternoon, where Lewis Hamilton will be hopeful of recovering from his exit in Baku. Italy and Wales are in action at 17:00 at Euro 2020 and the Welsh will look to upset the impressive favourites. Rounding off a thrilling week will be the action from the final day’s play in the US Open. It’s a vintage week of sporting action and something we can get used to as the Euros roll on.
