There’s plenty to get stuck into this week as the final round of the World Cup qualifiers finishes this week and the Premier League returns to action at the weekend.
MONDAY
The week gets underway with the second and final Test match in the series between West Indies and Sri Lanka, it’s all to play for with the first Test ending in a draw and day one begins on Monday at 14:45 with all five days live on BT Sport.
TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY
The last round of fixtures from the World Cup qualifying begin on Tuesday with Wales the first of the Home Nations in action as they face the Czech Republic on Sky Sports. However, you don’t have to wait long to see the rest of the Home Nations take their turn as all three will be ready to host their opposition on Wednesday. England welcome Poland on ITV at 19:45, while at the same time on Sky Sports, Scotland take on the Faroe Islands and Northern Ireland play Bulgaria.
THURSDAY/FRIDAY
Thursday brings the start of the Valero Texas Open where Jordan Spieth will aim to go one better than his 2015 runner-up finish in the event. The coverage will be live on Sky Sports from 21:00 and continues daily up to its culmination at the end of the week. South Africa and Pakistan begin their ODI series on Friday with the first of the three matches getting underway from 09:00 on Sky Sports.
WEEKEND
Finally, the Premier League returns to action at the weekend with Chelsea and West Brom getting things started at the lunchtime kick-off where Thomas Tuchel’s side will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run. Leeds will be looking to take the full three points on offer in their fixture against bottom of the table Sheffield United in their game live on Amazon Prime later in the afternoon. However, the top of the table clashes can be seen later in the day with Leicester hosting the runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City at 17:30 while the struggling Premier League holders Liverpool travel to The Emirates to play Arsenal which can be seen on Sky Sports at 20:00.
Rounding off the week there is another ODI between South Africa and Pakistan on Sunday before more Premier League fixtures. Burnley take a trip to the south coast to face Southampton at 12:00, while at the other end of the country, Newcastle play Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham. The final fixture of the week before the Premier League returns in its earnest next week is between Aston Villa and a resurgent Fulham, who are looking to fight their way out of the relegation zone. The Miami Open Final is always a thrilling contest and that ends the weeks sporting action, which can be seen on Amazon Prime from 17:00.
