WEEK AHEAD: An action-packed week of sport to look forward to which includes India v England in the cricket, Jumps Racing on ITV, and the Manchester Derby.
Hot on the back of their derby victory at Anfield, it’s the turn of Everton to see us into the new week as they host Southampton in the Premier League on Monday. The fixture can be seen live on Sky Sports at 20:00. At the same time on Tuesday the BT Sport cameras travel to the Etihad where Manchester City line up against Wolves, Pep Guardiola’s side will be looking to extend their unbeaten side and draw further clear at the top of the table.
Wednesday brings three more Premier League games and action from the ‘happy place’ as Burnley welcome Leicester to Turf Moor, while further down south, Crystal Palace host Manchester United, and elsewhere Sheffield United entertain Aston Villa. The first of the week’s cricket fixtures gets underway later in the evening with a T20 between West Indies and Sri Lanka on BT Sport.
More cricket follows on Thursday as Joe Root’s side look to bounce back in the fourth and final Test of India v England, the coverage will be live on Channel 4 from 04:00 and is scheduled to run throughout the week, although the last Test only saw two days of play. Later in the day, the Arnold Palmer Invitational gets underway where the action will be live from Bay Hill on Sky Sports at 19:00. The golf coverage is preceded by Spurs’ trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham, before Liverpool v Chelsea shortly follows, which looks set to be a great contest.
The weekend brings with it a bumper card including Jumps Racing on ITV and three live Premiership Rugby fixtures on BT Sport. There are also four Premier League fixtures throughout the day on Sky Sports culminating in Leicester travelling down to the south coast where Brighton will be hopeful of a Saturday night result. Sunday really is a day to be savoured and the day’s fixtures are plentiful. Starting with Day 4 of the Test match in India, before Liverpool kick off against Fulham at Anfield, the perfect appetiser before the main event. That arrives at 16:30 on Sky Sports as Manchester United take the short journey over to the Etihad in what will be a fiery Manchester Derby. The day can then be rounded off with more action from the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Tottenham’s fixture against Crystal Palace.
Another quality sporting week ahead with plenty to look forward to.
