WEEK AHEAD: European football is back this week and is complemented by a huge all-British boxing bout on Saturday between two fierce rivals.
Football begins the week and there’s an interesting clash in the Championship on Monday evening (20:00, Sky Sports) between promotion chasing Blackburn and West Brom.
On Tuesday the Champions League returns with the first legs of the last 16 clashes beginning. Manchester City will be hopeful of taking the initiative in their tie when they travel to Lisbon to play Sporting (20:00, BT Sport). The clash of the round looks to be between PSG and Real Madrid, catch that tie live from 20:00 on BT Sport. Man United are also in action as they host Brighton in a 20:15 kick-off in the Premier League.
It’s the turn of Liverpool on Wednesday evening and Jurgen Klopp’s men will have to be at their best at the San Siro against Inter Milan. Bayern Munich are also in action as they make the short trip to play RB Salzburg. Kick-offs are at 20:00 with both games live on BT Sport.
Thursday brings action from the first round of The Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour, with live coverage getting under way from 15:00 on Sky Sports. In the evening there’s the third round of Premier League Darts at 19:00 (Sky Sports), before several British sides are in action in the Europa League. Rangers face a difficult task against Borussia Dortmund, while in the Europa Conference League Leicester take on Danish side Randers FC and Celtic are at home to Norwegian Champions Bodo/Glimt. All three games are live at 19:45 on BT Sport.

There’s action from the Premier League on Saturday, with a lunch-time kick-off (12:30, BT Sport) between West Ham and Newcastle. After wins in their last two games, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle look to be growing in confidence and will be looking to keep that run going against the Hammers. For those missing the Six Nations on this break weekend, there’s rugby action with Bath against Leicester Tigers at 15:00 on BT Sport.
