WEEK AHEAD: This week kicks off a summer of English cricket test matches whilst it’s all eyes on Epsom at the weekend.
The second Grand Slam of the year, the French Open, kicked off on Sunday and there will be wall-to-wall coverage on ITV from 10:00 every day this week. Will it there be more clay court glory for Rafael Nadal? The League 2 play-off finals start us off on Monday with Morecambe in action against Newport County in the afternoon on Sky Sports.
Wednesday signals the changing of the seasons as England prepare to host New Zealand in the first Test of a long and jam-packed summer schedule. All five days, barring the inevitable rain stoppages, will be live on Sky Sports from 11:00. We also have three of the home nations in action as Scotland, England, and Wales prepare for their European Championship campaigns. Scotland and Wales are on Sky Sports, while England are watchable on ITV.
Thursday sees Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland travel over to Andorra and Ukraine respectively with both games will be live from 17:00 and 19:00. Next up is day 1 of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village, where the likes of the red-hot Jordan Spieth are in the field. All four days are live on Sky Sports starting at 20:00 on Thursday.
The second fillies Classic of the year, the Oaks, takes place at Epsom on Friday, with coverage available on ITV from 13:30. On to Saturday and there is more big horse racing action from Epsom with one of the greatest races in the world, the Derby, taking centre stage. Aidan O’Brien will look to continue his fine record in the race with the favourite Bolshoi Ballet. Back to the football in the evening and Wales are in action against Albania as they continue their warm-up for the big summer tournament, before British heavyweight Daniel Dubois can be seen in his fight against Bogdan Dinu live on BT Sport.
We travel to Azerbaijan on Sunday as the Grand Prix in Baku gets things started on Sky Sports before there’s more footballing action with England and Scotland lining up against Romania and Luxembourg. Rounding off the weekend is Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul’s exhibition bout where The Money Man will look to defeat the controversial Youtuber in the six-round contest.
