SATURDAY’S WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: We preview AUSTRIA v REPUBLIC OF IRELAND and WALES v SERBIA on Saturday with recommended BETDAQ bets in both games.
Austria v Republic Of Ireland
5pm Ireland face a tough trip against Austria at 5PM on Saturday but recent performances from the Austrian defense suggest that the 2.06 on Austria is too short.
Ireland are currently trading 4.3 at the time of writing and while they are no world beaters as we all know, we certainly feel that we would rather be on the Irish here at 4.3 over Austria at 2.06.
Austria have conceded eight goals in their last four matches and failed to make it out of their Group at Euro 2016, suffering losses to Iceland and Hungary while getting a lucky draw against Portugal. Their only win in the last six as come against Georgia and Ireland certainly have a great chance of winning here. We feel, however, that the best value bet on this game is in the goals market. Over 2.5 goals is 2.4 which looks huge, Austria have seen over 2.5 goals in all of their last four and Ireland in four of their last five. Add this to the fact that Austria have conceded in five of their last six while Ireland have only kept clean sheets against Georgia and Oman in their last five, and over 2.5 goals looks very appealing at the odds.

Wales v Serbia
7.45pm This could be a tight affair with two well matched teams however it’s hard to get away from over 2.5 goals at 2.44 when you look at the stats. Both teams seem to be full of goals and it wouldn’t be like this Wales team not to attack at home, it was highly disappointing they could only draw with Georgia and a win here would be a big boost for their campaign. We would certainly lean towards Wales at 2.48 compared to Serbia at 3.3 in the match odds market.
However as we said above we cannot get away from over 2.5 goals at 2.44. Wales have seen over 2.5 goals in three of their last five and the other two had two goals, there’s also a nice trend of both teams scoring in their recent games. While Serbia have seen over 2.5 goals in five of their last six and the other game had two with both teams scoring. An early goal here could really open up the game with two attacking sides and we expected over 2.5 to be shorter than 2.44.
