WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: We preview Sunday’s two games between REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v AUSTRIA and SERBIA v WALES with recommended BETDAQ bets.
REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V AUSTRIA
5pm This is a huge game for Ireland. Indeed we have two huge games in Group D today! Ireland win and they could put distance between themselves and the others depending on what happens between Serbia and Wales later, lose and they get drawn into a dog fight for qualification. Of the big four in Group D, Austria are the only side to lose – losing two of their five games, and they aren’t really in good form coming here either, only winning once in their last six games.
Ireland have a great record at home, and you’d have to feel that they look good value in the markets given Austria’s form, and the fact that Ireland have already beaten them away from home. The match odds market at the time of writing currently stands at; Ireland 2.38, Austria 3.65 and the draw is 3.25. Ireland are unbeaten in their last eight home qualifiers, and have won five of those. Given Austria’s poor form, Ireland look too big at 2.38 and that will be out best bet.

SERBIA V WALES
7.45pm With things very close in Group D, Wales really need to win here. If Ireland win earlier on, and Serbia beat them here, then things are looking very bad for Wales. It’s not good news in the markets for Wales fans either, with Serbia trading odds on. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Serbia 1.76, Wales 6.0 and the draw is 3.65.
To make matters worse for Wales they will be without their main man Gareth Bale, and given their results thus far in World Cup Qualifying – it’s hard to see them pulling off the win here. Serbia have been rock solid, and sit top of the group on goal difference. However looking at Serbia’s record at the back, there is certainly hope for Wales. They’ve only managed two clean sheets in their last ten games, and with this in mind, we like over 2.5 goals at 2.46 which simply looks too big.
