WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: We preview Thursday’s World Cup Qualifiers between ENGLAND v SLOVENIA, NORTHERN IRELAND v GERMANY and SCOTLAND v SLOVAKIA with a recommended BETDAQ bet for each game game.
ENGLAND V SLOVENIA
7.45pm International football returns on Thursday night and while we will have some desperately important games this weekend, that isn’t the case for England as they have breezed through Group F. They’re currently five points clear and while Slovenia have been one of the challengers for second, this should be a relatively straightforward win for England who currently trade 1.35 at the time of writing. If you do fancy the upset, Slovenia are 12.5 while the draw is 5.4.
The stats are heavily in favour of England, they’ve won 13 straight home qualifiers – keeping a massive ten clean sheets in these games as well. This makes the handicap angle really interesting, with England currently 2.04 -1.5 goals which looks very good value. Slovenia are poor travelers, indeed they lost away to Scotland and Slovakia without scoring – given England are vastly above both those sides and with such an impressive home record, they should cover the handicap and at 2.04 we’re happy to back them.

NORTHERN IRELAND V GERMANY
7.45pm Northern Ireland have been superb in World Cup Qualifying thus far and are Germany’s closest pursuers in Group C. Indeed, they have already qualified for at least the playoffs. Germany have a perfect eight for eight record, and while Northern Ireland’s target at the start of the campaign would surely have been second given Germany were in the group – perhaps they can dream of top spot, until this game starts anyway! Given that Northern Ireland have been closest to Germany and have been brilliant at home, Germany look really short at around the 1.32 mark. The World Champions may indeed win, but purely from a value point of view, the 1.32 appeals as a great value lay and that will be our best bet.

SCOTLAND V SLOVAKIA
7.45pm This is a massive game for Scotland in Group F – things are so well positioned heading into this weekend. England are obviously well clear, however if they beat Slovenia that leaves them on 14 points – and with Slovakia on 15 and Scotland on 14 before this game kicks off, the result of this game is huge. Scotland have a great record at home, with their only loss in 11 home games coming against Germany – this makes Slovakia look poor value at around the 3.3 mark, especially as they don’t have the strongest away record. They’ve lost away to England and Slovenia, and they’ve only had one clean sheet from their last nine away from home. This should be a really tight affair but there’s a lot in Scotland’s favour heading into it, and the 2.54 looks a shade of value on the home win.
