WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS THURSDAY: We preview three World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday with a recommended BETDAQ bet: Austria v Wales, Italy v Spain and Republic Of Ireland v Georgia.
Austria v Wales
7.45pm Both these teams started off their World Cup Qualifying campagin with expected wins against Georgia and Moldova, and this should be a very tight affair in what could be a battle for top spot in the group. After Euro 2016 you’d have to argue whether Austria should be favourite for this clash even with home advantage, Wales were different class compared to them in that tournament – Austria went home from Euro 2016 with two losses and a draw against Portugal, and Portugal battered them, they just didn’t find the net. We are tempted by the draw-no-bet option on Wales and the Wales win at 3.5 or bigger however the best value call we feel is the Austria lay at 2.4.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Austria at 2.4.

Italy v Spain
7.45pm Undoubtedly the clash of the evening as Spain take on Italy at the Juventus Stadium – these two are a certainty to finished first and second in Group G so both will be pushing for top spot. They met as recently as Euro 2016 where Italy came out on top 2-0 knocking Spain out – it was an excellent counter attacking display and with home advantage here you can certainly make an argument that they should be favourites here. Since Euro 2016 Spain have beaten Belgium 2-0 in a friendly match and then started the World Cup Qualifying with a 8-0 thrashing of Liechtenstein, we still feel that they will come up short against this Italy team as they did at Euro 2016, and at the odds we feel the value option is the Spain lay at 2.76.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Spain 2.76.

Republic Of Ireland v Georgia
7.45pm Ireland face a tricky game here at home to Georgia who have found the net in all six of their last Internationals, including beating Spain 1-0 – aside from that shock win though, and being fairly ok in front of goal, they haven’t managed to win many games, it’s usually a case similar to their first qualifying game here when Austria beat them 2-1 – they score but are beaten. And the question here is, if Georgia are to score, are Ireland value to find the net twice or more given they are currently priced at 1.5? It’s a tough question to answer and be 100% sure about, Ireland have been involved in some high scoring games lately, however have only scored two or more twice in their last six games, and one of those was against Oman. Massively in Ireland’s favour is their home record though, they’ve won seven of their last 12 games at home, only losing once and Georgia have a poor away record. We can’t quite commit to backing Ireland at 1.5 though and prefer over 2.5 goals at 2.52.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 2.52.
