WORLD CUP: We preview Sunday’s three World Cup games between ENGLAND v PANAMA, JAPAN v SENEGAL and POLAND v COLOMBIA each with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ENGLAND V PANAMA
1pm What better way to start a Sunday at the World Cup than watching England! They squeezing past Tunisia in their opening Group game, needing a last minute Harry Kane goal to win the game – and we can expect Panama to put 11 men behind the ball here and try to grind England down to a draw.
England are heavy favourites for this game, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; England 1.25, Panama 21.0 and the draw is 6.4. Panama managed to keep Belgium at bay for a while in their opening game; however Belgium ran out easy winners in the end. It will be interesting to see how England get on here as they don’t really have much attacking flare these days. The 1.25 is definitely too short to back, and will appeal as a lay-to-back trade to many. We can see England grinding out a 1-0 or 2-0 win here and with under 2.5 goals trading 1.98 – that looks good value to start the day.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.98.

JAPAN V SENEGAL
4pm Both these sides recorded 2-1 wins in their opening Group games and we have an open market here. You could say neither team were expected to win; especially Japan against Colombia – however Poland were always a weak top seed and it wouldn’t have been a major shock to see Senegal beat them. This game will likely decide top spot; however you’d have to say that whoever gets to play the top spot from this Group in the next round will be delighted.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Japan 3.65, Senegal 2.4 and the draw is 3.15. The market is expect a tight affair, with under 2.5 goals trading 1.6 – we can see this being a very cagey affair and 0-0 at 8.0 is appealing. Both sides played rock solid games in their opener and if they continue that form we can see both sides cancelling each other out. It’s difficult to find huge value in this one so we’re going to go for 0-0 at 8.0.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Correct Score 0-0 at 8.0.

POLAND V COLOMBIA
7pm Before the Group start you would have thought these two sides would be going through first and second, yet here we are with both fighting for survival. Poland were always a weak top seed; but Colombia would have been shocked to lose to Japan in their opening game – and now everything is on the line.
Colombia are favourites, with the match odds at the time of writing; Poland 3.45, Colombia 2.32 and the draw is 3.45. Colombia had warmed up for the World Cup with a win against France, so it was disappointing to see them lose against Japan. If you were to have a bet in the match odds market, you’d have to lean towards Colombia at 2.32 – the squad definitely looks to have too much class for Poland. However, both sides seem to produce games packed with goals – maybe it’s because neither is solid at the back. We can see goals in this one, and over 2.5 goals is trading 2.24 which looks very good value. We can see some mistakes in this game at the back, especially under pressure and we could have quite an entertaining game!
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals
