100/30 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK started the week in the best possible style on Monday. His NAP Abushamah WON AT 100/30. He returns to Roscommon on Tuesday.

Well that was sweet. A 100/30 WINNING NAP to start the week. Abushamah only got home by a neck but who’s counting the winning distance ?

A busy night ahead at Roscommon as the track stages an all jumps card. Big fields across the eight races are the order of the night.

There are four maiden hurdles on the card and I thought the best bet of the night may come in the final one of them at 7.15.

The Dessie Hughes trained Little Rocky appeals here. He was a three-times winner on the flat when trained by David Simcock in England but has so far failed to get his head in front in four races over hurdles. He came closest at Leopardstown when making the 2/9 favourite Clondaw Court pull out all the stops and the favourite only got up in the final strides to win by a head.

Clondaw Court then went on to win easily at Thurles, so the form looks quite solid.

Little Rocky also ran well last time out when a close up fourth to Bentelimar at Killarney having previously gone close when second on the flat at the Curragh.

Alileo, from the Willie Mullins yard, didn’t jump well on his Irish debut but the former French trained runner is clearly a danger assuming his jumping issues have been ironed out.
