Harzand overcame a late pre-race scare to win the Derby for Dermot Weld yesterday and land my NAP at an SP of 13/2 but an XSP of 8.01 !!

As well as napping the Derby winner – it was a particularly pleasing week given my confidence behind BLOOD MOON (NAP) who won at 11/4 on Thursday.
No time for resting on laurels (or Shamrock’s for that matter) and today is a new day and I’ve been challenged by DAQMAN to a napping duel before Royal Ascot so eyes down……
The French Derby looks just as open as the Epsom one did yesterday. Good luck to Aidan O’Brien with his duo but the strength of the home contenders looks solid and it’s a watching race for me.
Jumps at Kilbeggan and flat action from Listowel is on the Sunday menu.
I thought Room To Roam looked beatable in the opener at Listowel. He was only a moderate third at Dundalk and is now stepped up two furlongs in trip. A lay for me at a current BETDAQ 3.1 at the time of writing.
Just Joan looks the nap on the card in the fillies maiden at 4.10pm. The Tommy Stack trained runner chased home Planchart at Naas and that looks stronger form than that of chief rival Housemaid who was a seven and a half length third on debut at Cork.
