WINNING DOUBLE: SHAMROCK landed a winning double at Leopardstown last night and now heads to Down Royal with a good night predicted for Jim Bolger.
It turned out to be a good night for Aidan O’Brien with a treble at Leopardstown last night including the two SHAMROCK tips PROMISE TO BE TRUE (NAP) WON 4/6 and CHURCHILL (NEXT BEST) WON 2/5 – also advised to be backed in a BETDAQ MULTIPLES double which at SP odds was 9/4 but bigger at the time of publication on BETDAQ MULTIPLES.
Both won by relatively small margins but I think that masked the future potential of both animals who looked very smart and I’m sure will continue to improve for the experience and go on to bigger and better things.
Two Irish meetings on Friday at Down Royal and Wexford. There’s still some juice in the ground at Down Royal (good to yielding) ahead of their seven race card which includes the Listed Her Majesty’s Plate for which just four runners go to post.
Stellar Mass, an excellent third at 33/1 to Harzand in the Irish Derby, is quite rightly odds-on for this contest and should land this having already won the Ulster Derby here in June.
At better odds Jim Bolger may also strike later in the card with Elusive Approach in the maiden fillies at 8.05pm.
She was a disappointment last time out but steps back to the same seven furlong trip where she was a good second at Tipperary.
Sufoof and The Yellow Bus have plenty of placed form between them but look eminently beatable and the sole four-year-old in the field Elusive Approach can strike.
