DUNDALK ON SUNDAY: SHAMROCK heads all-weather racing on Sunday for his nap running in the 2.30 and trading around 4.8.
A tough punting card at Dundalk on Sunday but I’m drawn in to the 4.8 on BETDAQ offered about Thomas O’Malley in the Horseware Maiden at 2.30pm.
He’s been off the course for 132 days but anything close to a reproduction of what he showed on debut could easily be good enough here.
He finished third to Psychedelic Funk at Naas (beaten six and a half lengths) and the winner has gone on to win easily again at Naas and be placed in Group 2 and Group 3 company including the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot where he was third to the exceptional Caravaggio.
Of the rivals, Bective has had plenty of chances without success and market leader John Honeyman looks a little short based on his Curragh debut when fifth.
