PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Monday’s Premier League games with a recommended BETDAQ bet. 2018 starts with Brighton v Bournemouth kicking off at 12.30pm.
BRIGHTON V BOURNEMOUTH
12.30pm It’s a quick turnaround for everyone today however both these sides had good results on Saturday. Bournemouth finally broke Everton’s unbeaten run with a 2-1 win at home, and Brighton got a solid 0-0 draw away to Newcastle. Looking at the stats, Bournemouth are struggling to score goals away from home – they’ve only netted six times in their last ten games. They will have a tough start to the New Year here, as Brighton have a very solid home record. They’ve yet to be beaten here, and only conceded five goals in their eight games here, and that coupled with Bournemouth’s away form – we like the home win here at 2.38 to kick off the New Year.

BURNLEY V LIVERPOOL
3pm Burnley continue to have a superb season, currently sitting in 7th position in the table heading into this clash, so it’s a little surprising to see Liverpool as short at 1.53 away from home. Burnley would have been disappointed to only draw with Huddersfield on Saturday, however prior to that they held United to 2-2 at Old Trafford – and have typically just grinded out result after result this season. Liverpool left it late to score the winner against Leicester on Saturday and have been in very good goal scoring form lately. However, at the odds we have to lay Liverpool at 1.53 – we just strongly feel that this game will be closer than those odds suggest and the 1.53 is a value lay.

LEICESTER V HUDDERSFIELD
3pm Leicester have lost their last two games 2-1, however both have come away from home and they have proved to be a different side at home in recent times. In their last two home games, they have held Manchester United and City to draws – admittedly the draw with City coming against a weakened side in the league cup. They have been very solid at home this season, and look too big here at 1.74. Huddersfield have been solid this season, indeed they have been solid in their recent fixtures too – however their away form just hasn’t matched their home form and the 1.74 on Leicester just looks way too big here.

STOKE V NEWCASTLE
3pm This is an interesting game from a betting point of view. Stoke got thrashed 5-0 against Chelsea on Saturday, while Newcastle were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Brighton. That ended a run of four straight losses at home though, and their performance against City prior to that was promising – along with their 3-2 win against West Ham. They still aren’t reliable though, however neither are Stoke and Stoke are 2.3 while Newcastle are 3.65. Stoke look very short at 2.3 – this is bound to be a very close affair between two sides who are desperate for three points. We have to lay Stoke at 2.3 from a value point of view, this one will be closer than those odds suggest.

EVERTON V MANCHESTER UNITED
5.30pm Everton finally lost their unbeaten run under Big Sam on Saturday when losing 2-1 away to Bournemouth. Over all though, they have had better form than Man United! Jose Mourinho’s men were held to another draw at home on Saturday evening when drawing a blank against a tough Southampton side. That means that they are now without a win in their last four, and with Lukaku going off injured in the first half they will more than likely be without him here. United just haven’t been playing well lately, and the signs were coming when they barely got wins against Bournemouth and West Brom prior to this run. We’re happy to take them on here again, as they are trading 1.75 at the time of writing. Those odds look way too short given the way United have been playing lately, and the lay looks the best bet of the day.
