2017 FULL HOUSE: The year ends with a full set of fixtures. All-weather racing at Lingfield, and jumping at Uttoxeter, Warwick and Punchestown concludes the racing year. DAQMAN’s final three bets of the year run at Lingfield.
FAHEY FRUSTRATED ON 199 NOT OUT
Testing heavy ground at both Uttoxeter and Warwick today and just like yesterday we can expect some wide margin winners.
12.10 Lingfield At Lingfield the best bet may come in the 12.10 race with Renny’s Lady.
The David Evans trained runner went off at 50/1 for her debut over course and distance a week ago but belied those odds with a good effort finishing fourth.
She was slowly away that day and should know plenty more about the game today.
Main danger may come from Precious Silk who was third on debut behind I’m Yer Man over today’s trip at Chelmsford.
Richard Fahey will be keen to get a winner today as he is on 199 for the season but his Furzig was a little disappointing at Newcastle last time out and didn’t seem progress from his debut run at the track.
Fahey also runs La Sioux in the opener at 11.40 but the filly looks on quite a high mark for her handicap debut having made a winning debut by a nose in a four runner maiden fillies race at Catterick 123 days ago.
1.15 Lingfield Al Hamdany looks capable of defying top weight in this 1m 4f handicap.
He is up another pound for finishing second at Wolverhampton last time out which doesn’t look too harsh as he is by far the horse in the best form coming into this race.
This is his first career start at Lingfield but he has won twice at Kempton.
Main danger on the market is the Godolphin runner Celestial Spheres but this can hardly be backed with confidence after finishing only 12th of 13 at the course last time out and there is also a big question market over his ability to get the trip.
3.20 Lingfield Hopefully ending 2017 with a winning nap in Shacked N Drawn.
He was only beaten three quarters of a length over course and distance a week ago and a reproduction of that effort should be good enough.
Roy’s Legacy won this in 2015 but is a non runner this time and main danger may come from Ask The Guru, although this one is well held by the selection on the Lingfield form from a week ago.
