PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY: We preview Saturday’s Premier League games with recommended BETDAQ bets. The action gets underway with LEICESTER v LIVERPOOL at 12.30pm and the other televised game is from the Etihad at 5.30pm as MAN CITY host NEWCASTLE.

LEICESTER V LIVERPOOL

12.30pm Last week we seen another excellent weekend of the drama in the Premier League, what will this weekend bring? We start off with Liverpool traveling to take on Leicester. Liverpool have started the season impressively and currently sit top on goal difference while Leicester started with a loss against Manchester United but have bounced back with two wins since. At the odds Liverpool look a little short at 1.47. Stopping their attackers this season is going to be a problem for every club; however from a value point of view we’re happy to take a chance and lay them at the odds. Leicester have played very well this season, and were unlucky to lose away to United. They’re always better at home compared to away and we feel this one will be closer than the odds suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Liverpool at 1.47.

BRIGHTON V FULHAM

3pm This should be a very close game with two evenly matched sides. Both sides have one win from three games, with Brighton’s win coming against Manchester United to shock everyone! Fulham lost their opening two games however got off the mark last weekend against Burnley when scoring four goals. We have to say that despite beating Manchester United here, Brighton look too short at 2.32 – we feel that they are at least ten ticks too short here in what should be a very close game and we’re happy to lay them.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Brighton at 2.32.

CHELSEA V BOURNEMOUTH

3pm Chelsea grinded out another win last weekend away to Newcastle and they are now three from three. There are plenty of reasons to be positive about Chelsea finishing in the Top Four this season – especially with Manchester United looking like slipping out and Arsenal not really changing with their new manager. Bournemouth will be a tough test however Chelsea should have too much class for them and get the job done easily here with home advantage. Bournemouth have played Cardiff, West Ham and Everton thus far this season so it’s hard to judge how they will cope with a side like Chelsea – Cardiff and West Ham were poor and they could only draw at home to Everton. We feel that Chelsea can cover the handicap here and at 1.85 -1.5 goals that looks good value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea -1.5 goals to beat Bournemouth at 1.85.

CRYSTAL PALACE V SOUTHAMPTON

3pm We’re only three games into the new season however you’d have to have a small worry about Southampton already. They had a very tough season last season but managed to stay up – they should stay up again this season but it looks very unlikely to be easy. It’s always interesting to look at the head-to-head between managers – the most famous being Mourinho v Wenger – and it appears that Roy Hodgson has Mark Hughes’ number too. Hodgson has only lost once from seven games, and that came when Hughes managed Man City in the League Cup. As we note almost every week, we feel that Southampton have really gone backwards in recent times and the markets has yet to catch up – they were consistently overbet last season and we feel that they will be again this season. We feel with home advantage Palace will get the job done and they look good value at just over evens.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Crystal Palace to beat Southampton at 2.02.

EVERTON V HUDDERSFIELD

3pm Huddersfield have had a very tough start to the season, and currently sit in 19th position. They have had to play Chelsea and Manchester City, so perhaps we can forgive them their position for the moment! It was a little disappointing to see them fail to beat Cardiff last weekend though – especially with home advantage. Everton are always better at home compared to away and we could see another tough afternoon ahead for Huddersfield. One thing noticeable in Everton’s games this season is that they have been packed with goals – over 2.5 has won in their last five games; three PL games, a friendly and the Cup during the week. Everton look good value at 1.55 however based on their recent games it’s hard to ignore over 2.5 goals at odds against and we’re happy to back that.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 2.08.

WEST HAM V WOLVERHAMPTON

3pm This is a very interesting game! West Ham sit bottom of the Premier League after three games, and after landing a big name Manager and spending some cash – results will need to change quickly or the pressure will mount! Wolves spent big in the summer; and they will be happy with their start. Anything against Manchester City is a bonus and they managed to draw last weekend, while they’ve picked up a point against Everton too. Both those games were at home though, while they lost 2-0 away to Leicester. Perhaps home advantage might decide today’s fixture however West Ham have lost to Bournemouth here already this season. The Hammers have had to play Liverpool and Arsenal to were not going to write them off yet obviously and they have enough quality in their side to beat Wolves at home – the 2.6 on the home win looks great value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
West Ham to beat Wolverhampton at 2.6.

MANCHESTER CITY V NEWCASTLE

5.30pm Brighton beating Manchester United was a surprise; however you could argue that City not beating Wolves was a bigger surprise! It’s rare to see Manchester City slip up against the so called weaker teams, and perhaps it is the first sign that they are missing their main man Kevin De Bruyne. It’s likely that they will miss him more away from home in tough places to go and get three points, and they should be relatively OK at home – apart from the big games. Newcastle only have one point from their three games this season; however they have had to play Spurs and Chelsea – they played OK against both to lose both games 2-1 however it was disappointing that they couldn’t beat Cardiff. City should get the job done here and score plenty of goals too – we like Any Other Home Win (City to score four or more and win) at 2.62.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Any Other Home Win at 2.62.
