CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League games between HOFFENHEIM v MAN CITY and MAN U v VALENCIA with recommended BETDAQ bets.
HOFFENHEIM V MANCHESTER CITY
5.55pm Everyone said that Manchester City got the easiest Group of any English team this season and rightly so; yet here they are going into their second game needing a result after losing the opening fixture. They started at an XSP of 1.19 to beat Lyon at home and we had the shock of the Champions League thus far when they lost 2-1! A loss here would put City in a very tricky position; however they will obviously know that so we can expect them to be very focused this evening.
City are heavy odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Hoffenheim 9.0, Manchester City 1.39 and the draw is 5.8. It’s worth noting that City have to play Liverpool in the Premier League at the weekend, however after losing the first Group game and with this clash coming on a Tuesday – we can expect the strongest City side possible tonight. Hoffenheim’s domestic form looks poor and we feel that City can cover the handicap here – the home side lost 2-1 here at the weekend too and with City’s impressive attack they can bang in the goals for fun. They’re trading 2.04 -1.5 goals and that looks massive.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester City -1.5 goals to beat Hoffenheim at 2.04.

MANCHESTER UNITED V VALENCIA
8pm Jose Mourinho’s woes continued at the weekend as he seen his Manchester United side lose 3-1 to West Ham. It’s early in the season; but it looks like United won’t be in the top four already this season and an early exit from the Champions League will surely see some sort of reaction from the board. What that reaction is will be hard to know; do they sack Mourinho or sell Pogba – the story seems to be one has to go if you believe what you read in the press.
The pressure on United here is massive and they are odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Manchester United 1.8, Valencia 5.5 and the draw is 3.75. You have to think that the 1.8 on United is too short – it really is a price for the brave! United have been so poor this season, and have struggled at home too – they could only manage a draw with Wolves here prior to losing away to West Ham, and they’ve also got knocked out of the League Cup too at home to Derby. Valencia haven’t been impressive this season however until we see more from United we cannot have them at these odds.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Manchester United at 1.8.
