PREVIEW
Liverpool and Everton meet this evening in the hotly anticipated Merseyside derby and the two clubs couldn’t be in more contrasting form. The Reds lost 1-0 at Sunderland in a scrappy game on Wearside and Kenny Dalglish will be feeling the heat after a fifth successive game without a win.

The defeat at the Stadium of Light was Liverpool’s third on the bounce and that is the first time it’s happened in nine years. A top four finish is the main priority, but Dalglish finds himself a distant ten points off Arsenal. If the pressure wasn’t already big enough around the derby, Everton can leap-frog their bitter rivals with a win at Anfield. Everton were well beaten in the reverse fixture in a game that was marred by a controversial early red card for Jack Rodwell. The Toffees have not won at Anfield since 2000, but their run of nine games without defeat suggests they can really test Liverpool.

Liverpool have lost only once at home in the league since August, but they have drawn far too many games on their own turf. In 13 league games at Anfield the Reds have drawn eight times as the side have been unable to kill off their opponents.

David Moyes’ side were very well organised against Spurs and they are worth backing at 3.65 to frustrate Liverpool to take a crucial point.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back the draw at around 3.65: 4 points
Monday’s Return: -4.00 points
