SUNDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between MONACO v PSG, RB LEIPZIG v EINTRACHT FRANKFURT, SEVILLA v REAL SOCIEDAD and finally ‘El Clasico’ REAL MADRID v BARCELONA all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

MONACO V PSG

12pm We have a blockbuster day of football on Sunday all around Europe! This is one of those exceptional days when we have top class games in almost every league, and it promises to be a fantastic day on BETDAQ Betting Exchange!. El Clasico in La Liga will certainly be the focus point today, but we also have superb fixtures from Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga. We start early in Ligue 1 with Monaco hosting PSG. It seems all is not well in Paris at the moment with the fans booing Neymar and Messi during their 3-0 win over Bordeaux last weekend. Most casual fans just thought it was a reaction to crashing out of the Champions League, but it goes much deeper than that with the PSG ultras. They wrote a letter to the board mentioning “their club” many times and every mentioned the Champions League defeat. I read a fantastic article during the week, it was basically about how all the elite clubs have become about money and treating the fans as a resource to tap for money – higher ticket prices, higher shirt prices etc, and basically none of the fans have that sense of “belonging” anymore which is true. It seems the PSG fans have finally be hit with the “what does it all mean” question, and they have no answers. They have become a brand and a marketing product – does winning truly matter when you get to that level.

PSG have the best front three in the world to watch, but the club supporters are unhappy. This isn’t unusual – Bayern Munich are heading for another Bundesliga title but again the ultras protested at their board meeting over a sponsorship deal with Qatar – once again, it seems money is chosen over what the fans want. I assume this will happen a lot over Europe and fans will lose their sense of belonging. PSG has become a tourist destination now. A few years ago, this would have been a top of the table clash but not now. Monaco started this weekend sitting in 8th, and this should be a routine win for PSG. I was surprised to see them trading 2.0 when I clicked into the market. Monaco have only won once in their last seven games in all competitions and crashed out of the Europa League midweek too. They would have been expected to beat Braga but were pretty average away and at home on Thursday in a 1-1 draw after losing the first leg 2-0. Obviously PSG have a lot of issues at the moment, and I do feel that their stars don’t gel together well but they should win here and the 2.0 is worth backing – just limit stakes a little.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win PSG to beat Monaco at 2.0 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

RB LEIPZIG V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT

2.30pm Next we move to the Bundesliga for a big clash in the race for the European spots as RB Leipzig host Eintracht Frankfurt. RB Leipzig are a much more classy side than Eintracht Frankfurt, but both sides have had similar profiles in the Bundesliga this season. They both started their campaigns very slowly and then hit form to move up the table. Eintracht Frankfurt started so slowly they weren’t even far away from a relegation battle at one stage but that didn’t last long. RB Leipzig have hit some excellent form in recent times and they have shot up the table into the Champions League places. They started the weekend sitting in fourth but it’s going to be a very close fight. Bayer Leverkusen started the weekend one point ahead of them in third, while Freiburg and Hoffenheim have the same amount of points. There’s a little gap back to Koln then, but there isn’t much in it – Eintracht Frankfurt are likely out of the running for a European spot but if they can get into that 7th position you never know what might happen. They have won their last two away games in impressive fashion and they followed that up with a win over Bochum last weekend to make it three in a row.

Eintracht Frankfurt will obviously come into this fixture with confidence, but it is hard to see past an RB Leipzig win here. Although I can see RB Leipzig winning, I’m happy to avoid backing them as I feel they are priced correctly at 1.45. They should get the job done, but it’s hard to argue that they should be shorter than 1.45 – Eintracht Frankfurt are a solid side and you couldn’t have RB Leipzig in the 1.3’s to be honest. Given the lack of value in the match odds market, we’ll have to look to the goals market for some value here. I have to say over 2.5 goals jumps off the page here at 1.6. I felt it could have easily been the same price at RB Leipzig given that both sides like to play an open game. Both sides have an expected and actual goals over 3 per Bundesliga game this season, with RB Leipzig’s expected goals being 3.5 per game they are involved in – they have been scoring 2.2 goals per game. I can’t see either side sitting back here and this could be an end-to-end cracker.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SEVILLA V REAL SOCIEDAD

5.30pm Next we move to La Liga for two huge games. All eyes will be on El Clasico later, but Sevilla hosting Real Sociedad is a great way to start the evening. Sevilla will have to pick themselves up here after losing to West Ham on Thursday night in the Europa League, they went into that tie with a 1-0 lead but it was always going to be a tricky away in London away from home. The game finished 1-0 to West Ham after 90 minutes and Sevilla lost it in extra time. The xG figures say West Ham deserved the win and Sevilla can have no complaints. Real Madrid are in action later in El Clasico, but realistically the title race is over with Real starting the day ten points clear after Sevilla dropped too many points recently. As I said, to be honest Real wouldn’t have been bothered about Sevilla challenging them for the title. In the grand scheme of things, second will be a cracking achievement for Sevilla this season and now they have to focus on getting that position holding off Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. I have to say though, getting knocked out of Europe this early is going to hurt especially when Sevilla have such a good history in the Europa League.

In that sense, this might be a good time to take on Sevilla. The 2.2 is definitely going to be a popular lay today, and while it is a tempting bet I don’t have much faith in Real Sociedad who haven’t exactly been firing lately. They seem to start every season quickly and then go backwards! They do come into this game with three wins and a loss from their last four with that loss coming against Real Madrid, and they did create decent xG figures in those wins. Obviously the Sevilla lay is tempting, but they have been struggling for wins lately and have had too many draws, however under 2.5 goals is my bet here at 1.63. It was nice to land a confident bet on unders in the Sevilla game on Thursday night and we can do the same here. This is going to be a very cagey first half as Real Sociedad sit back and settle into the game – Sevilla tend to not go into attack mode until the second half and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see 0-0 at the break here. Unders looks the value pick at 1.63 – I can only see a pretty close and cagey game here. Hopefully we get more fireworks in El Clasico next!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.63 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V BARCELONA

8pm We have saved the best fixture for last this weekend, and what a way to go into the International break as Real Madrid host Barcelona in El Clasico. At this stage of the season this fixture would usually have a massive impact on the title race, but this hasn’t been an ordinary season for Barcelona! After all the drama with the board during the summer and the big financial issues, they lost Messi and haven’t been the same club since. As I mentioned in my preview of the PSG game above, Messi isn’t having a good time in Paris either – it’s a situation where nobody was happy and the Barcelona fans have lost a club legend. Real Madrid started this weekend ten points clear at the top of the table and they have the title in the bag regardless of the result here. Barcelona were always going to have a difficult evening away to Galatasaray in the Europa League but they got the job done on Thursday, and you have to say Xavi is doing a fantastic job since they came in. Despite the title race being over, this is actually still a massive game from a mental point of view. For Real Madrid, they will see this as an opportunity to put Barcelona in their place and from a Barcelona point of view, they will want to send a message that they haven’t gone far away and will be back to challenge next season. A fascinating contest awaits, and it’s hard to see anything bar a very close game here.

As I have said a couple of times with Barcelona this season, you have to remind yourself that they aren’t the same Barcelona and their prices will be very different. It’s all about picking and choosing when to back them, and I actually feel this is a good time to support them. Their xG figures have been very impressive lately and I feel they have a very good chance of getting a result here. I fully accept that Real Madrid have been the better side this season, but the 2.2 is too short here in my opinion. Both sides have been winning plenty of games recently, but the Barcelona performances have been much better. Real Madrid really impressed in the PSG game in the Champions League, but their wins against Mallorca and Rayo Vallecano weren’t too impressive and they gave away too many chances that weren’t taken. With Barcelona creating so much in front of goal, if Real Madrid give them the same amount of chances then I think Barcelona can go very close to winning the game here. Obviously the Barcelona win is the daring bet, but I’m happy with the safer play and the Real Madrid lay.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Real Madrid to beat Barcelona at 2.2 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
