SASSUOLO V JUVENTUS

7.45pm We have plenty of midweek European action on Betdaq Betting Exchange this week! We kick it off in Serie A with Juventus in action as they travel to take on Sassuolo. Juventus have been off the pace in the title race this season, and while they closed the gap a little while Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli were all in Saudi Arabia for the Italian Super Cup – they obviously had played more games then, and then they dropped further points at the weekend with a 1-1 draw at home to Lecce. With Lecce close to the relegation battle, that was a game Juventus shouldn’t be dropping points in.

Juventus have played some really good football this season but they have struggled to get over the line in games. They have an average xG created of 1.82 which is the second best attacking figure in Serie A this season – just 0.06 behind Inter Milan. They have been rock solid at the back as well; their average xG conceded is only 1.13 which is in the top four defensive figures. They are playing like a side who should be in the title race, but they aren’t because they are failing to convert their chances. Their actual goals scored average is 1.33, and there’s a lot of points left on the table there when the xG figure is as high as 1.82.

On paper, this is a game that you’d expect Juventus to win – Sassuolo are an average Serie A side – but you’re always going to have the question of will Juventus actually take their chances. Nevertheless, Juventus come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.83 with Sassuolo 4.9 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. Sassuolo got relegated in 2023/24, and then bounced straight back up for this season – they will be delighted to be sitting in mid-table after the New Year break; but there are some red flags in their performance levels.

They are in the bottom five on attacking figures and they also have the fifth worst defensive figure. They should be in a relegation battle, but so far they have got away with things at the back. Sides just haven’t been taking their chances against them. I feel the 1.83 offers cracking value on Juventus – the only thing stopping me having a Five Star NAP on them is they have struggled to convert their chances and Sassuolo have been also getting lucky at the back! However, the 1.83 looks ten ticks too high in my opinion and I’m happy with a confident bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Juventus to beat Sassuolo at 1.83 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
