LISTOWEL: Shamrock heads to Listowel on Sunday for the jumps card which gets underway at 2.20. A recovery mission is the order of the day after yesterday.
So many questions left unanswered about Camelot yesterday but from me it’s a hands up I got it wrong. He was a confident nap from me and to make matters worse the lay Dawn Approach won the final race in good style – in the end – although he did hit around 2.5 in running on BETDAQ. At least the damage is not too painful laying 2/5 shots.
It’s back to the drawing board at Listowel today.
In the opener at 2.20 the unbeaten Hurricane Ridge and Top Man Michael do battle and it’s the latter that’s favourite on BETDAQ.
I prefer, certainly at the prices, the chances of Hurricane Ridge who beat the odds-on shot Everything Zain on his hurdling debut at Killarney and the pair finished nicely clear.
Top Man Michael was a there time winner on the flat and got off the mark at Roscommon in good style but I don’t think there’s much between the pair so obviously have to side with the better priced option.
