EIGHT RACE BONANZA CARD AT LISTOWEL: Featuring the Guinness Kerry National Handicap Chase at 4.05.
As always the Kerry National looks a tricky puzzle to solve. It’s 7.6 the field on BETDAQ at the time of writing with Caduceus heading the market.
He is on a hat-trick after wins at Fairyhouse and Punchestown last time out where he was particularly impressive in winning a Grade B handicap chase. The testing ground and distance will count in his favour today and he should run another solid race.
A lengthy absence of 784 days shouldn’t count against the Willie Mullins trained Themoonandsixpence but for me it’s a race to watch as I can’t recommend anything with any degree of confidence.
Ted Veale was well beaten when third in a maiden hurdle at Galway when last seen out and although a winner on the flat since then looks worth taking on in the 5.10 race.
Bumper winner Our Vinnie might well be good enough for a winning start over hurdles.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
