A WALK IN THE PARK

⭕ 4.10 Taunton today This race takes on a new complexion with the defection of likely favourite Special John and Shuil Ceoil.

Walkinthepresent has done well since being stepped up in trip and this first try over three miles looks a sensible move by trainer Neil Mulholland.

His Chepstow third last time out reads well – he pulled well clear of the fourth horse (Hunting Percival was a well beaten last of nine finishers) and despite being raised 2lb he should relish the slightly longer trip and better ground.

The David Pipe trained Mancero isn’t the most reliable and struggles to put two good runs together. It was a better effort from him here at Taunton last time out but I’m a watcher today.

CRIMSON LAYERS IN THE RED

⭕ 8.00 Wolverhampton Crimson Rambler should be able to follow up on his Southwell win last week despite the resulting 6lb penalty.

He seemed to appreciate the step up to a mile and over the same trip again can continue his remarkably consistent run of form and see off the chief challenge of City Of Dreams who is up in trip on handicap debut.

INN IT TO WIN IT

⭕ 8.30 Wolverhampton The penny dropped big time for Crown Inn To Win when stepped up to tonight’s trip for the first time at Southwell.

He ran a massive race in finishing a length second to the in-form Wicksey who was completing a hat-trick and the pair pulled 11 lengths clear of their toiling rivals (Including Corduroy 4th).

Now he’s got a taste for this trip he should prove hard to beat here, especially if travelling as well as he did last time out and this race doesn’t look any tougher.

Corduroy was being nibbled at in the morning Betdaq Betting Exchange market but has a full 16 lengths to find with Crown Inn To Win on that Southwell form where he didn’t appear to see out the trip so it’s a massive ask. Not for me.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
