LILT THE LIKELY SURPRISE
⭕ 2.20 York This race has launched some decent fillies, including a 14-1 turn-up for Ed Walker in 2021.
He could be in the money again, though no surprise this time, with Synchronicity, sister to the £4m-prizemoney winner, Ombudsman.
Group-1 entered Lilt is likely to be backed for a stable with 14 winners already in May, three of them at York. BETDAQ 10.0
WARRANT FOR ROYAL WIN
⭕ 2.55 York You can go round the bend about the York draw – low numbers on Wednesday; not so yesterday – but this race is a left-hander which means your starting stall could be crucial.
Gates 2 to 6 have won it 90% of the time, which favours last year’s runner-up, Tony Montana, and the third, Have Secret, over the winner that day, Thunder Run.
But those are all older horses and stall 4 may hold the answer in the royal runner, Warrant Holder, bred in the purple by Frankel out of a Dubawi mare.
ST LEGER ONE-TWO AGAIN
⭕ 4.05 York (Yorkshire Cup) Queens Vase third Rahiebb was beaten a neck by Scandinavia in the St Leger on the soft in September (Tarriance last of seven).
Further, who was only sixth that day, was gifted 9lb as a three-year-old when beating Epic Poet in the Geoffrey Freer at Newbury
Epic Poet was also second in this Yorkshire Cup last year on firm ground, but he won three times on good to soft when trained in France.
Winner of five in a row over shorter, including the King Edward V11 Stakes at Royal Ascot, Amiloc was runner-up in the Irish St Leger. Though this was all top-of-the-ground form, his sire Postponed loved it soft.
Al Nayyir has been placed in eight Group races, including second and third in the Lonsdale at York, but is an eight-year-old now, and Amiloc to beat Rahiebb is probably the best bet.
⭕ 7.22 Leopardstown Scandinavia is on the Gold Cup trail, using this same stepping stone – known as the Saval Beg – as Kyprios, winner of two Ascot golds.
STARGAZED SKY-HIGH 30.0
⭕ 4.40 York Karl Burke, who won this with Korker (2022), was tempted to go for a Group 3 at Longchamp, with Stargazed, but she faded on very soft ground. BETDAQ 30.0
Old Is Gold is also highly regarded and they made him favourite at Sandown in April but he lost the race with an unruly start. Betdaq Betting Exchange 12.0.
Desert Treasure (5.9 offers) is a half-sister to Johan, who progressed from the lowest level of novice to winning a Group 3.
ANOTHER ONE-TWO REPEAT
⭕ 5.10 Aintree Masked Dance comes alive at Aintree on good ground and has won (2024) and been short-headed in this race for Mel Rowley, who has a 40% strike rate here.
My Chiquita, second two years ago, is better off at the weights and goes kindly for a claimer. BETDAQ 10.0.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
