BACK-TO-BACK DAQMAN NAPS: Daqman followed up his Saturday supernap, Lake Forest (WON 6-5), with his Sunday-best bet on Diamond Necklace (WON 4-5) in the French 1,000 Guineas at Longchamp yesterday.
CATTERICK NAP: Daqman starts the week with a nap at Catterick – one of three bets for him at the North Yorkshire track on Monday.
RAYIF ROMP SLAMS RICO
The name means ākindā. But Rayif showed no mercy in the French 2,000 Guineas yesterday to add another coltsā crown to the European domination and world ascendancy of trainer Francis-Henri Graffard.
Graffard won the Arc with Daryz in October and took his Champion Stakes and King George winner Calandagan to the top of the world in Novemberās Japan Cup, franking the form in March in the Sheema Classic to take his earnings to Ā£8.8m.
Rayif was the underdog yesterday. He had seemingly been put in his place, only third in the Lagardere juvenile Classic, by Aidan OāBrienās odds-on Puerto Rico.
But Puerto Rico, though odds-on again at Longchamp yesterday, was flailing under pressure from Ryan Moore as Karl Burkeās English raider, Hankelow, tried to make all, only for Mickael Barzalona to send Rayif flying down the rail, with William Buick driving Andre Fabreās Komorebi into second.
The positions were reversed in the French 1,000 when Barzalona on Narissa came out of the pack for the Graffard yard but faded as Moore launched OāBrienās Diamond Necklace in a scintillating rails run that took her clear by three lengths; the rest nowhere, as they say.
DRAWN TO SIVIEZ
ā 4.00 Catterick Low drawn runners have the edge over the sprint distance at Catterick, particularly when there are double figure fields. So that’s one stats box ticked in favour of Siviez who has pole position in one.
The Grant Tuer trained runner has also been nibbled at in the morning Betdaq Betting Exchange market and she races off a career low handicap mark here.
Her form is sporadic but conditions look ideal and with the exception of Irish Dancer the competition looks really weak.
Irish Dancer hasn’t done so well with the draw (7) but in the context of this race is the model of consistency and popped up at 28/1 to win this same race last year. I have to include him in today’s recommendations.
FREE NAP TODAY!
ā 4.30 Catterick Free Pic is taken to complete her course hat-trick after wins over today’s 1m 4f trip and also 1m 6f – both last month.
Barry McHugh is again onboard the mare who is now up 3lb but that’s probably the least rise she could have expected. The combination of this trip and good ground seems to be her optimum conditions and the stable have had two winners from their last five runners.
Main market rival Muhib is a career 0-21 and seems to struggle to see out this trip as she did last month when fifth of eight in a similar race over course and distance.
TWILIGHT BY THE THAMES
ā 6.17 Windsor This class 3 is the race of the night at Windsor and presents a good opportunity for Under The Twilight To record another course and distance win.
She’s back on the same 77 mark from which the won here last June and showed her current well being last time out when chasing home Dapper Valley at Leicester. She was hampered at the start that day and will hopefully get the rub of the green here.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
