CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between NAPOLI v LIVERPOOL and TOTTENHAM v BARCELONA with recommended BETDAQ bets.
NAPOLI V LIVERPOOL
8pm It’s another huge night in the Champions League for English clubs as Liverpool travel to take on Napoli and Spurs host Barcelona in London. Liverpool have been in superb form this season and it’s no surprise to see them favourites to win away from home against Napoli. Many punters see this Group as one of the hardest in the competitions; however after beating PSG in their opening game Liverpool have some cushion.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Napoli 3.6, Liverpool 2.18 and the draw is 3.7. Liverpool are going through a very tough run of fixtures at the moment – they had to travel to Chelsea at the weekend and play Manchester City next weekend! Prior to that they also faced Chelsea in the League Cup too – it’s hard to see Klopp opting to rest players in the Champions League though, despite winning their opening game. Looking at Napoli’s domestic results, they seem to leak goals – Juve scored three against them the weekend and they could only draw 0-0 against Red Star in their opening Champions League fixture. Liverpool look a shade of value at 2.18 given the way they have played this season and we’re happy to back them at those odds – we feel they should be priced nearer to 2.0.

TOTTENHAM V BARCELONA
8pm What a night of Champions League football we have at Wembley as Messi and Co come to town! Spurs will recall their excellent win over Real Madrid in the Champions League here last season and will be hoping to repeat the feat against their bitter La Liga rivals. They will need a result in this Group soon after losing 2-1 to Inter Milan in their opening fixture – a game when they had the lead going into the final minutes.
It’s not a surprise to see Barcelona as favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Tottenham 3.85, Barcelona 2.0 and the draw is 4.0. Barcelona have been below their best in La Liga this season; although they still sit top of the league as Real Madrid are struggling with life without CR7. Barcelona are without a win in three games which is very unlike them – especially as these games have come against Girona, Leganes and Ath Bilbao – hardly the top sides in La Liga. This seems to be a great time for Spurs to take on Barcelona and although they have had some blips in the Premier League this season; they are playing some good football. We feel that Spurs can get something from this game with Barcelona out of form – the away side look at least 15 ticks too short at 2.0 and we’re happy to lay them.
