The result was two winners at York for the second day running and a total profit of 70.25 to recommended stakes in the two days. Yet again the winning odds underlined morning BETDAQ value.

Sir Ron Priestley One of the finds of the season so far, with 2-2 to make it seven wins from his last nine starts. Second in the 2019 St Leger, a head in front of Nayef Road.
Looks due for an upgrade in the ratings after all-the-way win over Pyledriver in the Jockey Club Stakes, but has to give 3lb each to Nayef Road and Santiago, making this his toughest task to date
Spanish Mission The five-year-old entire’s rating has remained the same (110) since he beat Nayef Road in July 2019 but failed by half a length to confirm the placings on 3lb worse terms in the Goodwood Stakes. Won the Doncaster Cup in September and is fit from Meydan.
Wells Farrh Go Tim Easterby had a tremendous 38-1 double on his home track yesterday with Copper Knight and Winter Power, but hard to see this six-year-old finding enough to get involved here.
Listed and Group-3 winning form was on firm ground and he has been beaten a total of 97 lengths in his last three starts.

⭕ 1.40 York Anything can win this (and usually does, from 11-10 on favourite to 33-1). Having said that, one trainer does particularly well and one equine family with that very stable is bidding for a double.
Fabiosa’s dam, Delizia, won this race in 2015 and Fabiosa’s trainer, David Evans, has taken it twice: in 2014 and 2019.
It makes you think you’d be on to something that’s trying to win and not just on an educational spin in this two-year-old fillies test.

LANTERN LIGHTS UP KNAVESMIRE
⭕ 2.10 York More fillies; this time with a clue from the draw. In small fields, they tend to string out on the rail and stalls 1, 2 and 3 have won five times in seven seasons.
The grey Snow Lantern, by Frankel out of her stable’s 1,000 Guineas winner Sky Lantern, and from the one stall today, was a comfortable winner at Newbury in April and the mile here suggests her route is to the Coronation Stakes and not the Oaks, though she is being quoted for both.
Love Is You (stall 2) represents Classic form, back to her optimum trip: third in the Nell Gwyn (7f), just behind the Guineas runner-up, Saffron Beach. Creative Flair (stall 3) is a gritty little filly but was easy to back this morning.
Snow Lantern gets 3lb from Love Is You and it’s hard to pick between them, but it may be that the ground has come in Snow Lantern’s favour. Love Is You needs rain to get into the ground.

⭕ 2.40 York There was a gamble on Makram over a mile at Newmarket in April but he was slow away then short of room, his running style calling out for this extra quarter mile.
Satano Japan ‘could be anything’, with Sir Michael Stoute in fine form this week, and Tim Easterby puts cheekpieces on Fishable, narrowly beaten over the CD at York in October (soft), after scoring twice on good ground.
Yorkshireman William Haggas has won with Ilaraab and been beaten a neck with Nahaarr from three attempts on the Knavesmire this week,. And his Irish Admiral has a touch of class and is unexposed.
Pivoine has to be backed to a spare pound now that he’s dropped 12lb below the mark off which he won over the distance here in July, 2019. It was his second big-race success on the Knavesmire after winning there the previous summer.
Not much else to shout about since but, as trainer Andrew Balding told the Stewards: ‘He is suited by a return to York’.
