THREE DAQMAN WINNERS IN A ROW INCLUDING 11-1 AND 6-1: Tipping with crystal-clear vision, the incredible Daqman picked up another National yesterday with the 6-1 winner and third in the Sussex National, following last week’s one-two (7-1 the winner) in the Lincolnshire National. He went on to make 60.75 points profit on the day with three Sunday winners in a row, worth 188-1 in a treble.

✔️ WON 6-1 SEASTON SPIRIT (bull’s-eye bet, Sussex National)
✔️ WON 5-4 CRYSTAL SPIRIT (nap)
✔️ WON 11-1 THE HERDS GARDEN

THAT’S THE SPIRIT! LEAD STRETCHES TO 18-11 OVER PRICEWISE: Seaston Spirit took him into an 18-11 lead in the Pricewise value challenge, 141 points clear of his archrival to level stakes, and Cristal Spirit gave him back-to-back weekend naps

✔️ WON 5-4 CRYSTAL SPIRIT (Sunday nap)
✔️ WON 13-8 IBLEO (Saturday nap)

WHAT A DAY !!!

THIS IS THE NATIONAL I WANT!

Another National! The next one is the one I want: the Coral Welsh Grand National, postponed until Saturday at Chepstow.

I shall be tilting at windmills, going for the treble at those big juicy odds and 0% Saturday commission that the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE is famous for.

Racing is thin on the ground until then – Ayr Wednesday is already abandoned – so I’ll be going through every Coral National runner with a fine grooming comb, and giving you an early start with an ABC guide.

Going back to the old days of cheque-books, my biggest hits in the race were Bonanza Boy (1989), Martin Pipe’s first of five Welsh Nationals, and Earth Summit (1997), who would win big for me again at Aintree.

My worst moment was when Jenny Pitman’s Gylippus went clear and only had to jump the last to land me a 400-1 double. I dare not describe what I said afterwards, even using Pitman’s Shorthand.

The weather prognosis is good for all three Saturday-special meetings at Chepstow, Kempton and Wincanton.

Kempton’s card will include the Relkeel Hurdle, moved from another abandoned card, New Year’s Day at Cheltenham which wasn’t.

BIRTH CAN LAND QUICK DOUBLE

⭕ 1.10 Lingfield So many trainers out of form on AW these days, including David O’Meara, who is currently 0-18.

Dean Ivory has not had a winner from 41 tries in 61 days; Roger Teal has had 18 losers in 35 days, David Griffiths 14 in 24. But Michael Wigham gets the wooden spoon, 193 days without a win after 48 starters.

This is race 73 for Royal Birth, who just before Christmas won over today’s CD at Lingfield.

He’s a 10-year-old and, at that age, once they win, you can usually wait a season before they’re mentally and physically capable of scoring again, if it all.

But Royal Birth landed back-to-back strikes in quick succession in the autumn of 2019 and is 11lb below the mark he achieved in those days, including Marco Ghiani’s claim.

That would have made him better off with the third horse in the Christmas race, Lihou, who has been withdrawn.

Royal Birth’s trainer, Stuart Williams, is on a hat-trick after a double across the cards at Wolverhampton (favourite, ridden by Ghiani) and here at Lingfield on Saturday. BETDAQ 3.0 this morning.

SHANTUNG IN FROST WARNING

⭕ 1.25 Fakenham The only horse over the age of seven to take this in the decade was a sequence horse in the race (had won before).

It’s been ladies first five years out of six, with the winner trained Lucy Wadham three times and Pam Sly twice.

Lucky Lucy is back today with Bryony Frost booked on Shantung, her sole mount for a 485-mile round trip, with the mare’s 1-18 strike rate seemingly not off-putting.

Bryony rode Shantung when the money was down at Southwell last month but she was a well-beaten favourite. This is a recovery mission, and more, down to 5.9 on BETDAQ this morning.

Not A Role Model has won four times, including in a chase in this grade at Wincanton, but has yet to be placed over hurdles.

GET A FLYER AT 17.5 ON BETDAQ

⭕ 4.50 Wolverhampton Stuart Williams, who trains Royal Birth, has another strong chance here with Album, one of seven rides at Wolver today for Richard Kingscote, who landed a double at the Boxing Day meeting.

Album, who has placed at Chelmsford, is a turf winner on deep ground, so Wolver might be the AW place for him.

Inevitable Outcome capped five Wolver runs in a row since September by winning under Laura Pearson five days ago, two days before the filly turned four. Won back to back early last year, completing the double over 7f.

Kraka is another one with stamina beyond this 6f. He made all here over 7f earlier last month.

Gold Brocade, beaten three lengths by Inevitable Outcome on the last day, is better off at the weights but her 1-13 strike rate is offputting.

I set in motion a back-and-lay Fantastic Flyer at 17.5. She is the ‘one most likely to’ get Dean Ivory back into the winner’s enclosure.

The mare has started 40-1 (four times) and 33-1 in her last five starts but has slid 13lb down the handicap since March, and showed signs of a return to form last time.

Punters may forget (I love ’em all for it!) that Fantastic Flyer has won back to back on three occasions: April, 2019; here at Wolverhampton the following August (she’s now bang on her last winning mark); and at Chelmsford in February. Come on, Deano: get your finger out!

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
