WON 15-2 PROTEKTORAT (Saturday nap)
WON 4-9 STATE MAN (Sunday supernap)
WON 7-4 MIRANDA (Monday nap)
WON 11-8 PEMBROKE (Wednesday nap)

TODAY’S BIG-RACE SERVICE: Newbury Gold Cup preview Friday, verdict today with bull’s-eye bets at 11.5, 12.5, 15.5. Fighting Fifth preview Thursday, verdict today. Rehearsal Chase one-two of FORTUNE COOKIES.
CAP THIS! A RACE THEY WIN TWICE
⭕ 1.20 Newbury Cap Du Nord, brought forward as a Fortune Cookie from last year, is nine now and won this in 2020 but has been trained for a repeat and, claimed off, has his ground again and a similar weight.
Kapcorse is a previous winner twice, in 2018 and when taking last year’s race off a 6lb lower mark than today.
He’s very difficult to train and has to be prepared for an isolated target. He was short of the mark in the 2020 renewal and finished 20 lengths adrift of Cap Du Nord.
Demachine also scored on a singular occasion at Uttoxeter in the Spring, when dropped in grade after wind surgery and a long break. He came back to form like that two years ago, too, and scored next time at Ascot, back to back.
However, Uttoxeter is his favourite track, where he is 2-2. He is also two from two at Newbury, but defeats not strikes!
Dual winner at Kempton and Sandown, Killer Kane – bought for a killer price of £300k – was not disgraced in a Grade 3 at Aintree and has had a run back this term.
If only his stable were in better form: two odds-on wins in small-field hurdles, surrounded by 35 losers.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 7.7 Killer Kane, 11.0 Cap Du Nord
CONSTITUTION OF A JUMPING FRANKEL
⭕ 2.10 Newcastle (Fighting Fifth Hurdle) See THURSDAY preview
Trainers with a string of good horses find it difficult to keep some of them apart but Nicky Henderson had no hesitation sending Jonbon over fences, despite his five wins in a row.
The decision was made the day he lost his chance of a Champion Hurdle crown while still a novice when beaten 22 lengths by stablemate Constitution Hill in the Supreme Novices.
I immediately dropped Jonbon from my FORTUNE COOKIES list for 2022-23 but dropped Constitution Hill, too!
It’s pointless picking a jumping Frankel or a Flightline: they will never be a price in their prep races and maybe not even in their target title-race. I sometimes ‘buy money’ but not silver money with a wad of folding at very long odds-on.
CORACH RAMBLER UP FOR THE CRAIC
⭕ 3.05 Newbury (Gold Cup) See FRIDAY preview
1 CORACH RAMBLER Gericault Roque led Corach Rambler to victory in the Ultima at Cheltenham and Lucinda Russell will be hoping for the same, as the Rambler needs to power up his stamina, and the Roque has a penchant for finishing second.
Corach Rambler has also won at Aintree on a wide track with a long run-in so the Newbury straight should be no problem. BETDAQ 12.5.
2 Threeunderthrufive Four out of five over hurdles; then four in a row novice-chasing and wears first-time cheekpieces today; the choice of Paul Nicholls for the race we used to call the Hennessy. BETDAQ 11.5.
3 Lord Accord Looked set to pull off a surprise when running Frodon close in the Badger Beer at Wincanton; only a length down when a mistake at the last. BETDAQ 15.5.
Le Milos may need rain; Busselton (5) and Remastered (9) are outside the normal winning age-range. Fiddlerontheroof hasn’t won at this trip in a long career over fences and Oscar Elite is 0-6.
PRESSE TO GET BACK ON GOLD TRAIL
⭕ 3.25 Newcastle (Rehearsal Chase) FORTUNE COOKIES L’Homme Presse and Aye Right are the pick of the Rehearsal Chase field.
With five in a row, culminating in success at the Cheltenham Festival, L’Homme Presse was invincible until going to the well too often and being beaten at Aintree by the very horse he’d eclipsed at Prestbury Park.
Venetia Williams has broken the ice of a long, cold spell without winners, and he should get back on the Gold Cup trail.
Aye Right won last year’s Rehearsal, when he led at two stages of the race. After his Kelso reappearance, he should have them all at it, and find any flaws in L’Homme Presse’s fitness.
Into Overdrive has improved 20lb this year but has been well placed to beat middle-handicappers. Trainer Mark Walford (1-12) has just had two favourites finish second, missing strike when ‘expected’.
Dingo Dollar is 10 now and has never put two races together before; he is unlikely to do so in this company.
Happygolucky has won twice after a break and finished in the first four in all nine chases and hurdles, including at the Cheltenham festival two years running.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
