LIGHTNING STRIKE ON BETDAQ: Daqman landed two winners out of three yesterday, both revealing the advantages of betting with BETDAQ value. His Ayr winner, Windtothelightning. was his second winning nap in four days.

WON 6-4 WINDTOLIGHTNING (nap) from 3.1 on BETDAQ
WON 7.4 HIGH COURT JUDGE tipped at 4.4 on BETDAQ

DAQMAN’S IMPERIAL MEASURE: It’s on! Hereford and Navan in Ireland have fallen to the weather but five meetings have survived, including Imperial Cup day at Sandown, where Daqman has the measure of the form, and the Lincoln Trial meeting at Wolverhampton. Headlines:

TOR IS TOP TIP OF THE DAY
GIVE THE OFFICE TO DIBBLE
TODAY IS BELLE’S LINCOLN
ICEO IS ‘MUCH IMPROVED’

FINAL COUNTDOWN: Daqman’s Sunday and Monday betting polish to help you shine at Cheltenham includes: How to boost your winnings, Fortune Cookies, Mud Lovers and Star Stat

TOR IS TOP TIP OF THE DAY

⭕ 1.30 Wolverhampton Seven of the last 10 winners have come from the low six stalls, where the speedy sort is poised to propel his adversaries wide around the sweeping left-hand bend.

Silky Wilkie (gate 5 today) made all at Kempton the last day but is now up 10lb since his winter season began, with just one win and four seconds.

Baldomero (4), a serially placed horse, usually at a mile or so, led at Lingfield on the third day of the month but wilted in the final furlong.

Sir Robin (6) is also a prominent player but is looking exposed, whereas Ingra Tor (3), a class-2 winner on turf mow gelded, won first time out last season (on AW).

BETDAQ value 4.0 Ingra Tor (nap)

GIVE THE OFFICE TO DIBBLE

⭕ 1.50 Sandown (Novices Handicap Hurdle Final) Paul Nicholls could win this for the third time in four years with Henri The Second (sole win was at Sandown) or Hugos New Horse (novice four-timer) but both have plenty of weight.

I’ve been impressed with Etalon on looks and jumping. The way he cleared the last at Wetherby and ran to the line didn’t look like one who needed a tongue–tie, but it will certainly help in deep conditions.

Twinjets is the soft-ground horse who comes out best on Sandown form, with sufficient weights pull to turn the tables on Twin Power, which suggests he can also take care of Inneston from another recent test on the Esher track.

Cuthbert Dibble is closely handicapped with Twinjets on December form over the minimum but the son of Kayf Tara showed his stamina when raised in trip the last day.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 5.5 Cuthbert Dibble, 12 Etalon and Twinjets

TODAY IS BELLE’S LINCOLN

⭕ 2.05 Wolverhampton (Lincoln Trial) Some 70% of winners of this go on to the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster but, in the last decade, the best that seven winners that went to Town Moor could do is finish 7th, 9th, 16th, 20th, 12th, 11th and 8th.

Andrew Balding has won the Trial twice in four seasons, including with Notre Belle Bete, who finished four lengths off the Lincoln winner at Doncaster after taking this among three AW strikes.

His turf record is 0-13 but, despite misplaced confidence at Doncaster last year, he is again a Lincoln entry on the first of next month. It’s clear that today is his Lincoln.

Oisin Murphy rides after the five-year-old’s promising second at Lingfield two weeks back, when a bit short of room two out. He gets 2lb to try to overturn the form with the winner, Outbreak.

When Notre Belle Bete won this race last year, the grey was getting 11lb from Hafeet Alain, who was also giving weight to both Balding’s Belle and Outbreak when finishing close up in that Lingfield test.

He’s now getting 9lb from Notre Belle Bete and 5lb from Outbreak. A 7yo won this two years back; this is Ed Walker’s second most successful track (48 winners) and he has Billy Loughnane up, with a 34% Wolver strike-rate.

Unforgotten is also a Lincoln contender after a lower-level AW hat-trick. So, too, Eilean Dubh, who is prepping in this.

Eilean Dubh was a progressive entire in 2022, ultimately winning the John Smith’s at York in July. A summer-ground horse who may need this run. Karl Burke won the Trial in 2021 but with an in-form horse.

Tacarib Bay is getting no help from the handicapper. His Balmoral Handicap third at Ascot in October was not his only good run on that course and the Victoria Cup meeting there seems more his style.

BETDAQ value 5.5 Notre Belle Bete, 19.5 Hafeet Alain

ICEO IS ‘MUCH IMPROVED’

⭕ 2.25 Sandown (Imperial Cup) STATS: Ages five and six dominate (8 out of 10); only five winners have been older than seven since 1958.

Weights: 8 out of 10 on 10st 12lb or less (from ratings of 128, 130, 125, 131, 133, 128, 130, 136, 130, 135). Only two winners in 18 years have carried 11st or more.

LAYS LOGIC: SP favourites: nil. In the last 10 renewals, they have finished 8th 3-1; PU 11-4; 3rd 3-1; PU 9-2; 4th 9-2; 2nd 5-1; 3rd 100-30; 3rd 3-1; 6th at 2-1 and PU at 9-2.

Hardy Du Seuil, Iceo and Djelo, the 1-2-3 at Sandown in January (soft), are now weighted to finish in line but Iceo is ‘much improved’ for the race, says Paul Nicholls.

The CD winner Monviel finished well behind in this last year but Man O Work is worth another chance after coming down in a big-field hurdle at Leopardstown last month, prepping for it with a promising run at Fairyhouse.

He is from last year’s winning stable which also runs the nine-year-old Zoffany Bay, a solid second to Irish Hill at Ascot after a break since winning on very soft ground for David Cotin in France.

Playful Saint was in receipt of a stone here when held by subsequent Listed winner Love Envoi in December but he’s improved a stone since last year at this time and, though eight, has had only six races in his life. Goes well fresh and loves the mud.

Givega also has plenty of scope, aged seven, and trotted up here at Sandown three weeks back, though now has to step up from novice company.

BETDAQ value 6.5 Iceo, 8.3 Playful Saint
