DAQMAN LANDS THREE NAPS OUT OF FIVE: Daqman made it nine winners in six days yesterday with his third nap up from five in the week giving him a 60% strike rate. Bull’s-eye-bet Riggs (2nd 11-1) was runner-up in the stayers’ handicap at Haydock. His long-shots in the race didn’t run because of the ground. His two Saturday winners were:

WON 11-10 A PLUS TARD (nap)
WON evens BUZZ

FOGPATCHES ON SUNNY DAY

⭕ 2.50 Navan (Troytown Chase) It’s a sunny day at Navan, ‘going good and drying ground’ that won’t suit them all and, even at 3m, speed combined with stamina should win the day.

Daqman had a good punt on Empire Of Dirt (won 12-1) in this when he was one of four winners in a row for Gordon Elliott (2014-17).

Four of eight from the same stable are among the market leaders with Run Wild Fred in pole position but with the Elliott team split in the betting by a surge for Willie Mullins’ Lord Royal.

1 Farclas He’s a good-ground horse; a young improver, claimed off, so 3lb below the mark of his second in the Plate at the Cheltenham festival (2m 4f), after two more cracking efforts, third and fourth in big-league handicaps at Leopardstown.

2 Mister Fogpatches Has run some cracking races on good ground; third in the Scottish Grand National before winning at the Punchestown Festival (3m 7f).

He raced prominently in both and could be capable of holding an early position and using his stamina late on. Won the 2m 6f Ladbrokes Hurdle (2.20 on today’s card in 2019).

3 Definite Plan Broke bridesmaid sequence of seconds when, in first-time cheekpieces, scored at Cheltenham (going good) last month.

Uisce Beatha Moderate record until switched to Padraig Roche and raced mainly on a decent surface, winning three times from Boxing Day 2020 (over 2m 1f at Leopardstown) to a Spring festival strike at Fairyhouse (3m) and a Plate at Listowel on the last day. But a big drifter this morning, out to 45.0.

Top Moon A Wexford winner on summer ground before third in the Munster National. Needs more but can improve at age six for same owner as Uisce Beatha.

Run Wild Fred Runner-up in both the Thyestes Chase and the Irish Grand National, used his novice certificate for his return last month but finished second over a shorter trip at Cork. His only wins over obstacles have come on soft-heavy.

Defi Bleu Bumper and hurdles winner on this course and third in big-field beginners’ chase at the corresponding meeting last year.

Lord Royal This is not Willie Mullins race (his record is 1-19) but the grey makes his handicap debut here after eight months off as the stable’s sole representative.

Tout Est Permis Completing hat-trick over fences (two on ‘good’) when winning today’s race in 2018; several times placed in big handicaps since, including the Pertemps Final over hurdles at Cheltenham, but has struggled off a high mark recently.

Discordantly Fourth in this last year and has won fresh but overall form is unconvincing.

BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE 7.6 Farclas, 9.7 Mister Fogpatches

KANE’S EXPECTED TO SCORE

⭕ 1.10 Uttoxeter Getting around a stone from most of these, Beach Break can return to form with his Donald McCain stable on a stunning run: eleven winners in the last fortnight and currently 111101.

Bootlegger is always thereabouts but more for a place than a strike. Taste The Fear won his first handicap on summer ground and his reappearance flop may have been down to the loss of two shoes.

⭕ 2.30 Exeter Great to see Lostintranslation return to form for Colin Tizzard, who is very keen on Killer Kane, an even-money chance here this morning. He jumped professionally and cruised through his return at Carlisle.

Half-brother to Go Native, a Supreme winner at Cheltenham for Noel Meade, Kane is expected to make up into a top-class novice, after skipping his own generation to take in this all-aged handicap, which Team Tizzard won in 2018. Five years ago the race produced the dual Becher Chase winner, Walk In The Mill.

Cheekpieces could improve Black Kalanisi but he is pretty much exposed; Midnight Midge has run well without winning; Casa Tall is back on the mark he was given as a novice a year ago; and, though a course and distance winner from a stable in form, Zoffee has been held back by his jumping.

BETDAQ value 9.2 Beach Break.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
