LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s match between RAYO VALLECANO V MALLORCA with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

RAYO VALLECANO V MALLORCA

8pm After a hectic weekend all around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, Monday night football focuses on La Liga as Rayo Vallecano host Mallorca. This might not be the most glamourous Monday night football fixture, but we have a fantastic week ahead with Champions League and Europa League, and we do have an interesting market here to get stuck into. It wasn’t too long ago since this would have been a Segunda fixture, but both sides have started their La Liga campaigns well.

Rayo Vallecano will be especially delighted with their start to the season. They have been hanging around the top six, and after Barcelona won on Saturday they have the same number of points as Barcelona after 13 games – which is remarkable really considering that they finished 6th in the Segunda last season and came storming through the playoffs. Mallorca come into the fixture off the back of four draws, and as you can imagine they have been tough to beat. They will also be pleased with their start to the season; they have 15 points from 13 games and their sole aim this season will be staying up. From what I have seen so far, they should achieve that quite easily.

The International break came at a bad time for Mallorca. They had to settle for a 2-2 draw at home to Elche, but they absolutely bossed the game as xG finished 2.87 to 0.81. That followed on from a recent 1-1 draw with Sevilla – but they finished the game with an xG of 2.21. They have also been very unlucky at times, for example they lost 3-2 to Osasuna but they finished the game with an xG of 4.03. I feel the most important thing about those performances is that they came at home. As always with teams coming up to big leagues, they do tend to perform better at home compared to away. Their xG figures away haven’t been close to their home performances.

Rayo Vallecano had a tough fixture list leading into the International break. They had to play Real Madrid and Barcelona, but they did manage a shock 1-0 win over Barcelona – they didn’t deserve it at all, but it still would have been a massive boost for the club. They are like Mallorca in the sense that they have been ultra-impressive at home and not as good away from home. They are actually unbeaten at home this season, only drawing once and winning all of their other games. I feel home advantage is what decides this game to be honest – Rayo Vallecano are a better side with home advantage, and Mallorca don’t play as well away from home. With Rayo Vallecano playing so well this season and creating so many chances, the home win is too appealing to turn down at 1.93.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Rayo Vallecano to beat Mallorca at 1.93 with BETDAQ Exchange.
