EFL CUP: We preview Wednesday’s EFL Cup games between CHELSEA v EVERTON and TOTTENHAM v WEST HAM with a recommended BETDAQ bet in each.
CHELSEA V EVERTON
7.45pm We have two really interesting Carabao Cup games tonight and we start it with the struggling Everton visiting Chelsea. Life without Koeman starts here for Everton, and while on paper it may seem like a terrible fixture to start with, Chelsea haven’t been playing well lately either. They needed a late goal to beat Watford at the weekend (indeed, they got two!) and they are still having problems at the back – the question here from a betting point of view is can Everton trouble them at the back? Based on their level of play this season you’d have to say no – they have looked totally disjointed and really lacking in front of goal – it’s difficult to see how they can fix all that within the space of a week just because they’ve changed manager. Of course we have seen that happen before, however on balance Chelsea look good value to win here at 1.53. Until we see more from Everton, it’s hard not to keep backing their opposition.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea to beat Everton at 1.53.

TOTTENHAM V WEST HAM
8pm Spurs finally clicked into gear at Wembley last weekend when thrashing Liverpool 4-1, and the struggling West Ham will be hoping that they don’t turn up in the same form here. Bilic needs a result having apparently only been giving two games to turn things around following their poor run of results. It’s highly likely after Friday nights limp performance that he’ll make some changes here and possibly give some of the fringe players a chance to shine – the team on Friday night were really lacking in effort and it was no surprise that Brighton could put three past them. If they play like that tonight, Spurs will put more than three past them! It’s more than likely that Spurs will choose to rest players, however with questions about West Ham’s motivation at the moment and whether or not the manager has lost the dressing room – Spurs look big at 1.54. West Ham have been conceding far too many chances, and goals, and Spurs can be next to take advantage of that.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Tottenham to beat West Ham at 1.54.
