PREVIEW

Steve Kean’s decision to bring Yakubu back to Blackburn looks to be one of the best pieces of business during the January transfer window. Blackburn have had a fortnight break with no FA Cup action at the weekend and they’ll need all the help they can get if they’re to avoid defeat at Manchester City.

Manchester City were in action on Wednesday evening as they booked their place in the last 16 of the Europa League at the expense of Porto. After going through a bit of a rocky patch, City have come good and have won their past four games. City hammered Blackburn earlier in the campaign and they will fancy their chances of completing the league double over Rovers.

Roberto Mancini’s side have not lost to Blackburn in eight games and they haven’t conceded against the visitors in the two most recent games. Goals continue to fly in at the Etihad Stadium and City have bagged 18 in six home league games, conceding just three times in the process.

Blackburn are just outside the relegation places on goal difference and their away form remains poor. Kean has only won once away from Ewood Park in the league this season and it’s tough to see them getting anything from City, especially with their defensive issues.

Rovers have shipped 15 goals in their past six league matches, so backing City with the -2 Asian handicap at around 1.78 on BETDAQ is the recommendation.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Man City with -2 Asian handicap at around 1.78: 5 points
Friday’s Return: -6.00 points
