PREVIEW
In-form Leicester take on struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers in tonight’s Championship clash and the hosts look difficult to oppose as they bid to close the game on leaders Cardiff and earn their fifth successive win.
Wolves did win the reverse fixture 2-1 in September but they really hung on at the end that day and that is the sole win the visitors have enjoyed over a top-half club this season.
Furthermore, the Molineux club haven’t done the double over Leicester since 1958 and Nigel Pearson’s team boast an impressive home record against their Midland rivals. They have lost just one of their last 20 home league games against Wanderers.
Defending the only 100% record of 2013 in the league, they also have the best defence in the division and are the joint top home goalscorers with 33 goals in 14 games. Add the fact they’ve dropped the least points, four, from winning positions and the size of Wolves’ task becomes clear.
Dean Saunders’ men are looking for a first win in eight and have picked up just two points from 18 since a win over Blackpool before Christmas.
They look hopelessly outclassed against the automatic promotion chasers and the Foxes are worth backing with a -1 Asian handicap at around 1.81 on BETDAQ.
