PREVIEW
Spain will make the trip across to Bern, Switzerland to play their penultimate friendly before defending their European Championship in June. Vincente Del Bosque’s side take on South Korea at the Stade De Suisse hoping to find a replacement for their injured talisman David Villa.

Villa has ruled himself out of the Euro’s; however this has not affected Spain’s recent form, as they have scored nine goals in their last three games.  The debate in Spain, over who will replace Villa up front, has really picked up pace in recent weeks. Back in February, Roberto Soldado scored a hat-trick to firmly put his name in the reckoning. However, his poor late season form for Valencia has resulted in him being excluded from the squad and it looks likely that Chelsea’s Fernando Torres will now lead the line for the Spanish.

Spain face a side in South Korea who have caused the Spanish problems in the past. A late winner from Jesus Navas gave Spain a narrow 1-0 win last time out. South Korea have also drawn two of their four fixtures against the World Champions. South Korea also come into this fixture on the back of two convincing wins against Kuwait and Uzbekistan respectively, although neither side are in the same class as the European Champions.

With Spain looking much more convincing in recent games and scoring more freely, a win against South Korea should be a formality. A high scoring game could be on the cards, as seven of Spain’s last nine games and five of South Korea’s last seven games have all produced over 2.5 goals. Punters can back over 3 goals at around 2.22 on BETDAQ.
