9/2 WINNER FROM JUST TWO BETS: The nap was beaten a head at Ballinrobe last night but the only other bet of the day, the next best, Rising Euro won the final race at a rewarding 9/2. Shamrock heads to Punchestown for tonight’s card that starts at 5.55 and has a Willie Mullins trained horse to back and one to lay.

We’ve had one successful lay of a Willie Mullins trained runner this week and I’m negative on another of his at Punchestown tonight. Passage Vendome is trading at 2.54 at the time of writing on BETDAQ and this looks far too short in the 7.55 race. He was a beaten favourite at Ballinrobe last time out when making a mistake at the second last and being slow over the final flight and finished a two and a half length second to Six Stone Ned.

As always with laying, you need a few running for you and I think we have got that here. Buy Back Bob showed a preference for the firmer surface on the flat and the Tony Martin trained runner could go close on his seasonal reappearance here.

Regal One was a good second on his jumping debut at Clonmel when second to Glamorous and if coping with the better ground here could also be a big player.

We’ll stay loyal to Willie Mullins for the nap which goes in the 7.25 race. Letherbelucky makes her hurdling debut here after winning her only start in a NH flat race last season at Wexford. This doesn’t look a tough introduction and she should get off the mark.

SHAMROCK’s BETS:
NAP: Letherbelucky (7.25 Punchestown)
LAY: Passage Vendome (7.55 Punchestown)
