WIMBLEDON WOMEN’S OUTRIGHT: Match Point previews the Wimbledon Women’s outright with two recommended BETDAQ bets ….

Unlike the Men’s tournament Wimbledon 2023 has a far more open look to it in terms of the Women’s title and it’s likely that there will be the seventh different winner in as many years!

Aiming to buck that trend is last year’s winner Elena Rybakina who is around 7.2 on the BETDAQ market to go back to back.

It’s no surprise to see the prolific winner Iga Swiatek topping the market as the World Number One. The jury has to be still out though as to whether she shows her optimum game here at SW19. She has yet to make even a quarter final so far in three previous appearances at Wimbledon.

It would come as no surprise to see Aryna Sabalenka (pictured below) run deep into this year’s tournament.

The Belarusian player was banned last year from playing due to the invasion of Ukraine but now gets the chance to build on her 2021 form which saw her reach the semi-finals.

On missing the tournament last year she said: “I was at home having a little vacation, then practicing. But, no, I didn’t watch Wimbledon a lot. I felt so bad and I just couldn’t watch it. Every time if Wimbledon would be on TV, I would cry, so I decided just to stay away from Wimbledon last year.”

She starts her campaign on Tuesday with her first round opponent Panna Udvardy – the pair meeting for the first time and are drawn in the fourth quarter which might be the easiest to progress from – although it will get much tougher for her further down the line.

At bigger odds I will also include Sabalenka’s French Open semi-final conqueror Karolina Muchova. Whilst she came up short in the final against Swiatek, Muchova is one of the few who look over-priced. She is on a career high world ranking of 16 and playing good tennis again in her injury plagued career.

RECOMMENDED BET
5 points win ARYNA SABALENKA to win around 7.2
3 points win KAROLINA MUCHOVA to win around 34.0
