WIMBLEDON MEN’S OUTRIGHT: Match Point previews the Wimbledon Men’s outright with two recommended BETDAQ bets ….

Another Grand Slam and another chance for Novak Djokovic to rewrite the record books.

The Serb is around 1.64 on BETDAQ to record a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam victory which would draw level with Roger Federer’s record of eight titles on the grass at Wimbledon.

His chance was made that little bit easier on Sunday night with the dramatic news that last year’s runner-up Nick Kyrgios has withdrawn from the SW19 tournament with a wrist injury.

The Aussie has only played one tournament this year and came up short in last year’s final against Djokovic despite taking the first set.

As defending champion Djokovic will get the Centre Court action underway on Monday at 1.30pm when he faces Argentina’s Pedro Cachin who is rated 67th in the world.

Djokovic said: “Part of me is very, very proud and very thrilled to be able to be in this position and have 23 Slams.

“I want to try to use every Grand Slam opportunity I have at this stage where I’m feeling good in my body, feeling motivated and playing very good tennis, to try to get more.”

It does leave backers with a quandary. On all known evidence he is impossible to leave out on a surface he excels at and arrives here on the back of his French Open success in Paris.

It’s very hard to see him not claiming his fifth successive title at Wimbledon so has to be my main bet.

At much bigger odds I’ll also include Jannik Sinner (pictured below) at around 26.0.

The two could face off in the semi-finals which will guarantee me a finalist!

Sinner proved he could give Djokovic a headache by taking the first two sets off him in the quarter finals last year and with that experience behind him he looks one of the very few capable of giving Novak something to think about.
