PREVIEW
Sir Alex Ferguson’s surprise announcement earlier this week that he is retiring at the end of the season means Manchester United game against Swansea today will be the legendary Scot’s last game in charge of the club at Old Trafford. The atmosphere should be electric and the players will be out to put on a great display for the fans, knowing they will finally be presented with the league trophy they secured several weeks ago.

United have understandably lifted their foot off the pedal after securing a 20th league crown and have suffered two defeats in their last six games, both at Old Trafford, but Swansea will be easier than Manchester City and Chelsea, who were responsible for those reverses.

In many ways Swansea’s season mirrors United as after winning the League Cup and securing their top-flight status the Welsh club pretty much put their feet up and they’ve only won two of their last ten games, losing five. However, they held City to a draw before beating Wigan last time out and in three meetings since the Swans were promoted, United have had to work hard for their two wins with the points shared in the most recent encounter.

But you’d be a brave punter to back against United today on what promises to be an emotional day at the Theatre of Dreams. Swansea let in two against struggling Wigan in the week and if United’s fearsome attackers click then there could be a load flying in later. Back over 3.5 goals at around 2.06 on BETDAQ.
