PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: We preview Monday’s game between MAN U v SPURS with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

8pm What a brilliant fixture for Monday Night Football! All eyes will be on Jose Mourinho again after losing 3-2 to Brighton last weekend and again discussing his transfer woes after the game. Having seen the mistakes that the United defense are making – it’s hard to disagree with Jose. He has spent money however surely the board can see that they needed to spend a little more on a defender too. It will be an interesting season ahead!
Spurs also had a quiet transfer window, however they have started the season strongly with two wins from two games. They have kept quiet during the summer and in the lead up to the Premier League; and are going about their business without any fanfare. This is a big test for them so early in the season and it will be good to see how they fare on the Old Trafford turf.
We have a very open market, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Manchester United 2.7, Tottenham 2.96 and the draw is 3.35. Spurs have a poor record at Old Trafford and while United are definitely better at home these days compared to away from home – it’s still very hard to back United at 2.7. As we seen last weekend; they are always open to mistakes and with Spurs having such a strong attack – it’s to not see them scoring at some stage.
We expect a very tight affair here, as is always the case in big games with Mourinho involved. Under 2.5 goals is trading 1.9 at the time of writing and that looks cracking value. It’s hard to see United attacking too much early on in the game after losing last weekend and Mourinho will be wary of leaving his defense exposed. We feel that under 2.5 goals offers more value than the United lay at 2.7 – however both looks good bets.
