SUNDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: It’s high noon at the Emirates with the North London Derby between Arsenal and Spurs at 12pm. Both sides struggled in the Champions League this week but the hosts are certainly in the better form and the trend for goals can continue. We preview all Sunday’s games with recommended BETDAQ bets.
Arsenal v Tottenham
12pm What a way to start Super Sunday with the North London Derby, and this one is more important than usual with Arsenal level on points with City heading into the weekend and Spurs still unbeaten in the league, but three points behind. The odds at the time of writing currently stand at Arsenal 1.98, Spurs 4.4 with the draw trading 3.65. Both teams struggled midweek in the Champions League, with Spurs losing at home to Bayen Leverkusen and Arsenal needing a last minute winner to beat Ludogorets whom they should have handled easily – but it is Arsenal who arrive here in the better form, and have now won seven of their last eight in the league while Spurs have dropped points with draws against West Brom, Bournemouth and Leicester.
Both teams have scored in the four meetings since Pochettino took over and with North London Derbies generally having plenty of goals over the years, we expect that trend to continue, that’s currently trading 1.73 but with Arsenal’s current form and home advantage we feel that there is more value backing Arsenal at 1.98 than BTTS at 1.73 or over 2.5 goals at 1.83.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Arsenal to beat Tottenham at 1.98.

Hull v Southampton
2.15pm Thing’s don’t get any easier for Hull as they face the tough visit of Southampton here fresh off a 2-1 win over Inter Milan midweek in the Europa League. To their credit, Hull performance pretty well last weekend against Watford but left empty handed after a 1-0 defeat, they are just going through a tough spell at the moment and have now lost all of their last five in the league. And with Southampton in great form and very solid at the back, we expect that poor run for Hull to continue, and are happy to back Southampton at 1.73 – we see more value in this bet than 2.5 goals at around the 1.75 mark, in what should be a pretty cagey affair.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Southampton to beat Hull at 1.73.

Liverpool v Watford
2.15pm Liverpool remain full of goals under Jurgen Klopp’s system finding the net four times against Crystal Palace last weekend and have now scored 13 in their last five games, however to be so attacking you have to leave a few gaps at the back and thus their only clean sheet came against United were both teams played out a boring 0-0. Watford have kept clean sheets in their last three matches however Liverpool are certainly a few levels above the sides they have faced and while Watford also have a good record away from home this season, they’ve yet to travel to anyone as good as Liverpool. We expect more goals from this exciting Liverpool side and Liverpool at 1.85 -1.5 goals appeals a lot.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Liverpool -1.5 goals to beat Watford at 1.85.

Swansea v Manchester United
3pm More pressure was put on Jose Mourinho midweek as United lost their fifth straight away game in Europe with a 2-1 defeat to Fenerbahce, the Europa League is becoming a problem for United because their results after midweek games haven’t been great and Mourinho has been playing slightly stronger sides than you would expect. United are in desperate need of a win here too after the 0-0 in the league last weekend against Burnley, and not picking up three points against the 19th placed team in the league would be a massive disappointment. It takes a brave person to back United away at 1.8 given their recent form however Swansea should be a level below them and they should be able to deal with them. They really need Zlatan to start scoring, he has been missing too many great chances of late. Swansea are without a win in their last six games and United should be able to take advantage.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United to beat Swansea at 1.8.

Leicester v West Brom
4.30pm West Brom arrive into this game without a win in their last five, however to be fair to them they have come up against Manchester City, Liverpool and Spurs in those games, and they did manage a draw with Spurs. Leicester played out a quiet 0-0 against Copenhagen midweek in the Champions League and look to be finding their form again after a tough start when they had been leaking goals left, right and center away from home. At home though, they have been solid with three wins from five games, we feel that the way they have suffered defeats away from home is making their price to win at home bigger, and thus creating some value. They are currently trading 1.82 here which we feel is too big against this West Brom side.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Leicester to beat West Brom at 1.82.
