LISTED RACE ACTION AT TIPPERARY: Two Listed races on the card at Tipperary tonight on ground which is expected to be yielding.
A look at the two big races at Tipperary tonight:
5:35 Abergwaun Stakes (Listed) (3yo+, Class 1, 5f, 11 runners)
A sprint over the minimum trip but a race in which the majority arrive out of form. Cape Of Approval is the exception having won his last two races at Cork including a Listed contest last time out when he took the scalp of the odds on Maarek on soft ground. He has to give weight away and wouldn’t want the ground to dry up any further. I thought Abstraction (around 12 on the BETDAQ market) looked of interest win and place. He has the services of Seamie Heffernan onboard and won well over course and distance last time. It was only a handicap, and this represents a big step up in class but he might well prove good enough on what is only his sixth racecourse start.

6:35 Coolmore Canford Cliffs Stakes (Listed) (2yo, Class 1, 7f 100y, 6 runners)
Indian Maharaja is already second favourite for next season’s Derby following a hugely impressive 6 1/2 length debut win at Gowran Park where he went off odds-on. The experience will have done him the world of good and clearly he is the one to beat. 1.34 on the BETDAQ market tells you that.
