SHAMROCK’S TWO FROM TWO: SHAMROCK had two bets on Thursday and both were landed. GLENEAGLES (NAP) WON 4/7 and the next best AGNES STEWART was 2nd at 11/2 but recommended WIN and PLACE.
Two winning bets from two yesterday and hopefully the form will continue into the weekend.
The Wexford card has held up pretty strongly given the good to firm ground.
19 runners are set to go to post for the concluding mares flat race and it’s no great surprise to see the Willie Mullins trained Grangeclare Rosa at the top of the BETDAQ market. She is a half sister to several winners and is a likely type on breeding but might struggle on debut against a couple of opponents who have the benefit of experience.
My preference is for Liss Ui Riain who crucially has already run well on good to firm ground.
She finished second to New Kid In Town (trained by Mullins!) at Roscommon last time out and the form of that race looks fairly solid with the fourth winning since and the third, Thats Nice, finishing second at Limerick last night.
That sets a good standard for the Mullins runner to aim at and Liss Ui Riain is my bet of the day.
