11 WINNING NAPS FROM 15: Pride ofthe Parish lost in heartbreaking circumstances yesterday. He seemed to do everything right, ridden patiently, led after the last but was re-headed on the line.
LIMERICK GREEN LIGHT: At Limerick, Irish Turf Club officials decided to check on conditions due to the threat of overnight rain but are happy to give the National Hunt fixture the green light.
Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: “They had 3.5 millimetres of rain overnight, but they’ve got away with it.
“I’d imagine the ground is going to be pretty sloshy, but they are happy for racing to go ahead.”
The seven-race card gets under way at 12.35pm, with the ground unsurprisingly described as heavy.

The Istabraq Festival Hurdle (Grade 1) at 2.00 is the big race on the card at Leopardstown today.
The previous two winners of the race – Unaccompanied (2011) and Hurricane Fly (2010) do battle and the race is set to revolve around this pair.
Hurricane Fly, although not the easiest to train, looked good when winning the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown on his seasonal reappaearance and after that Willie Mullins identified today’s race as the next intended target.
He should land the odds here.
Although Sizing Gold has tasted defeat in his last two starts they have been at the hands of useful rivals and should gain a deserved first success over hurdles in the 12.55.
