ONE WINNER FROM TWO TIPS: The NAP was third on Wednesday, Mona Brown at 3/1 but we landed the NEXT BEST with Cul Baire winning the final race at Gowran Park at 11/8.

Clonmel stage a mixed card late this afternoon starting at 4.15 and it looks decidedly trappy all round.

Best bet on the card could be Three Kingdoms in the maiden at 4.45. The three-year-old runs in the colours of Sheikh Mohammed and is trained by Dermot Weld. He has had three starts so far and ran well in each of them.

He finished third over this trip in a big field at Leopardstown last time out and the runner-up from that race has won since so the form looks solid enough. He is less exposed than the majority of this field and hopefully has scope for further improvement.

In the following handicap, also over the 10 furlong trip, Roja Dove stands out ina field where the majority are woefully out of form.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Three Kingdoms (4.45 Clonmel)
NEXT BEST: Roja Dove (5.15 Clonmel)
